enfieldspares
Wet rag and a flat tipped soldering iron. Or the tip of a clothes iron.

Gunman
Can depend on the dent ,its depth and whether its a sharp dent or a dished dent . The age , specific wood and the finish can all have effects . Steaming is your first option .
Andy H
If it's just a dished dent ,Spray the dent with water and after an hour use the wet cloth and hot iron method , If the dent has a sharp edge with the wood fibres broken you will not raise the dent fully as the steam water method will only work on distorted wood fibers and not broken one's , you will still be left with a blemish as the expanding wood fibres cannot do anything for a dent with a sharp edge as the wood fibres are broken.
