bunny_blaster
Ive had several calls, texts and videos sent to me from various people, of a certain field that had been drilled with peas. My mate viewed this field at the beginning of the week and estimated 2000+ pigeons where feeding on it. Unfortunately I couldn’t get there until today and the couple of times I viewed it after work the numbers were getting smaller although there were still plenty flighting about. My mate and I got there at 10.30 today which turned out to be way too early as the birds didn’t really get going until 15.00. Up until then we’d only shot a handful of birds but when they started flighting the shooting was nice and consistent. Another farmer I shoot for drove past and saw me shooting and called me to say he’d planted 4 fields of peas and it was obvious this is where the main bulk of the birds were heading. We finished the day with 177 pigeon
marsh man
A fantastic bag BB, and you must have a very healthy supply of Pigeons in your area , by the sound of it another good bag is on the cards when you find time to shoot your neighbours Pea drilling's , I can see you shooting good numbers on every stage of growth as they will be in pod before you know it . GOOD LUCK on your next session MM
pigeon controller
Well done Ben, a long wait until they started to arrive. Your field checking after work and the help of farmers pays. Again well done and thanks for posting.

old'un
Yep, when we have long days its always a bit hit and miss as to when they will hit the field but as you know when the weather is like it as been its usually after midday when they seem to-be most active, never the less it came good in the end and 177 is a number I have not shot in a long time so well done, what time did they stop coming? Wilts#Dave
Good going that, must have been a busy afternoon flight! Personally never bother going until after lunch (12 o clock) at this time of year onwards as generally get the bulk of the shooting though the afternoon then again 4 o clock onwards for their last feed. Got a fair few fields of peas in here, 109 the best afternoon on drilling where they came later on too. Sounds like you’ve got a busy schedule coming up 👍🏼

The line that was feeding us eventually moved to the 4 fields of peas in the distance behind us. We stopped shooting at 6.30 as we had to pick up and the pub was calling
