Yes you did, the final was on, and whoever thought it was a sport wants sacking, apparently it won't be in again.

I wouldn't have minded if it was to actual music

Totally agree !!!! 🙄

Am I right in saying that a 'new sport' is introduced each Olympics? Sort of exhibition/entertainment value rather than full blown Olympics tradition 🤷‍♂️

Could well be TC , I might be to fussy but I haven't seen any medal contenders for either tops or bottoms , mind you , I only concentrate on the sports they are participating in and not on looks or body parts

Don't we all !!! 🤭😁 Those women long jumpers must get sand in some awkward places 😳 😄🤣

I think it's the host nation can add something, but it should be a sport, look at the climbing that was added in Tokyo, great event, break dancing isn't any kind of sport, I'd rather see competitive tug of war back in 😅

Oh right 👍 Agree on your sentiments re break dancing 🕺 🤸‍♀️

The Boulder climbing is very skillful, but quite boring to watch ? 😴😆

It's closer to sport than some events that have been in the Olympics. Between 1912 and 1948 there were Olympic disciplines for watercolour painting, sculpture and literature. What killed it wasn't the lack of a sporting element but that almost all the competitors were professionals in that discipline, so went against the amateur nature of the Olympics. Paris 1900 had Poodle Clipping. Sadly only as a test event.

The trouble is it's hard to say WHY breaking shouldn't be a sport when things like rhythmic gymnastics, syncro swimming, dressage or even diving are. They require immense technical skill and a high degree of physical fitness (relevant to its remit). I'm not a fan of it, but I can't make a good case to say it's not a sport.

There are a shedload of things I'd ditch at the Olympics, because there is a danger it's all got a bit to silly now. But it's fun and it's engaging and I can cope with that because there's always something else to be suddenly and temporarily inspired by. That kayak cross stuff was immense

Another medal for Noah Williams 👏 😀 Bronze in the 10M diving,,,, congratulations 🥉👏😁

And in Taekwondo, Caden Cunningham fought brilliantly and is in the final, so at least a silver medal, but 🤞 for a gold 👍😁

I like the diving,  especially the synchronised diving, the others could go for me, I like the gymnastics on the apparatus,  but not the floor, the BD for me was skillful,  but just not an Olympic event.

I only caught the highlights of the Bouldering,  it might seem slow,  especially compared to the speed event, but it takes skill, power, strength, bottle, and its clear who is doing well, its not someone's opinion of how someone did, like the BD.

Caden Cunningham was out-fought in the final so gets a well deserved Silver Medal 🥈 👏😁

On the running track, Silver and Bronze medals for our 4x400 relay athletes 🥈🥉👏👏👏😀😀😀

A surprise but brilliant Bronze Medal for Georgia Bell in the women's 1500 🥉👏😀

The biggest surprise was the Silver Medal for a lovely pair of young women in,,,,,,,,,

ARTISTIC SWIMMING Pairs !!! 🥈👏👏👏😀😀😀 Formerly known as Synchronised Swimming, our pair outperformed many 'better' swimmers, to everyone's surprise,,,,,BRAVO!!! 😄😄😄

Unfortunately, it's the final day of these Olympics ☹️

But,,,,, chances of more medals for the brilliant TEAM GB 👏 🤞😀😀😀

Just got back from a lovely walk around the river wall , easily a gold medal contender for the best morning of the Summer .

Now watching the finishing stages of the women marathon , look as if they have got the heat as well as us .

Sorry to see it come to a close and I think it have been a well organised games , apart from the decision on that wounded clay Pigeon but we must move on and mustn't dwell on it. :good:

Our final medal of these fantastic Olympics is a Bronze for Emily Campbell in the weightlifting 🥉👏😀

Jack Carlin misses out on a medal in the cycling keirin event after a crash involving two other riders 😳 He was probably just out of medal contention and not only left everything on the track with the effort, but probably some skin too,,,, OUCH !!! 😬🫣

I'm wondering what the closing ceremony will be like, it's got to be better than the opener.

At least the weather will be better 🌞🌝👍😀
