mickyh
SLK Mercedes-Benz. Roof up and down. Will a Shotgun fit in the boot? Any owners on here, or partners have one. Thanks.

B&W FOX
My exwife could get her handbag in the boot of hers. So I would say yes.

Westley
You certainly would NOT get an assembled gun in, but my daughter seems to think either a motor case or a leg of mutton style case would fit. She is somewhere around Cambridge at present, on her way home from some balloon festival, otherwise I would go and try my gun cases.

This is for my wife, who occasionally takes me/picks me up from clays. Shame, but possible with added hassle then. So it's not a no. Thanks for the sensible answer. Just put it in a case, then assemble at the ground, leaving the case in the car. Transfer the gun to a gunslip at the ground, or alternatively, follow the current trend and wear it around you neck ! 😊 I can take both a motor case and leg-o-mutton cases around tomorrow, and try them, if that helps. No need, but thank you. That's exactly what I'll do. Ps I'm old school, I wear mine over my shoulder between pegs!

Thanks. Not unless broken down, in which case it will go in with the roof up or down (my experience is with a 2005 model R171). However, with the roof down, you will (probably) have to put the roof up to put gun in or out as the access to the main boot becomes a 'slot'. To be fair, I don't plan to be in any car with the roof down! Those years are long gone. Edited August 11 by mickyh
