Bigbob
Every so often when I get scraps of the butcher there is 1 Inch slices of chicken, whether it is chicken going out of date or stuff he can't sell, It's handy for ferret food, but I have often wondered if I could use it for cooking maybe cook it in a curry till the meat falls off the bone. bruno22rf
AFAIK , the vast majority of traditional chicken curries that our Asian brethren eat contains bones as well where meat is concerned - it also helps to retain moisture within the meat if the bone is present.I do seem to think however that the skin is usually removed? Bigbob
I thought about making it in a curry and digging in with my fingers and sucking it off the bone , I suppose it would be like the time i tried pig trotters i was left with a mountain of bones But at a £1 for a five kilo bag there's nought to loose
JohnfromUK
Just make sure you cook it well and let the heat get right through ............ or "there's nought to loose" might be proved very wrong.

Brought back memories of the increasing popularity of curry houses in Bristol in the early 60’s when Chicken curries were indeed served on-the-bone and you had to pay extra to have them off-the-bone. Probably delicately removed by hand by the chef. No hygiene ratings then 😂😂😂 The Koh I Noor, Denmark street was the place to go.
