TIGHTCHOKE
Oh come on now, we are going to be given the name of an Officer that we can contact whenever there is trouble or concern.

Our area (West Mercia) has operated it for several years. We have two 'named' officers and they attend local events, 'drop in' sessions, schools etc. It has made not a jot of difference to crime, response times or anything else. Nice enough people, but my guess is that they may perhaps glean a bit of local 'gossip' which might help, but they cover a huger area. TIGHTCHOKE
The Prime Minister spoke of "Milestones." All of the milestones are to be completed by the next general election, likely in 2029 - and in the case of clean power, to be "on track" for the 2030 deadline. The targets on housebuilding, NHS waiting lists, and school-readiness apply to England only. Recruiting more police is for England and Wales, while clean power and raising household income are UK-wide. They are: Putting more money in the pockets of working people Building 1.5m homes and fast-tracking planning decisions on at least 150 major infrastructure projects Treating 92 percent of NHS patients within 18 weeks Recruiting 13,000 more police officers, special constables and PCSOs in neighbourhood roles Making sure three-quarters of five year olds are school-ready 95% clean power by 2030 Not sure any of it will happen.......................... Just forgetting planing consents etc., from concept to completion on even a minor hospital build can be 10 years minimum. Recruiting 13,000 more police officers, special constables and PCSOs in neighbourhood roles Not a hope Making sure three-quarters of five year olds are school-ready - This must be the responsibility of the parents 95% clean power by 2030 -- Not a hope and at what cost. Just a few short responses.

Solve the migration problem and we won't need to build all these extra houses we won't have waiting lists in the NHS and there will be enough schools etc First principles Edited December 6 by Vince Green
