At last Derbyshire police have started confiscating illegal electric scooters and illegal e bikes .

Why can't other counties have a crack down.

There a menace on the streets and the roads.

It could be my cynical side but why are they all painted black?:whistling:

That's good to see.

I cannot understand how even the legal rented ones get dumped everywhere. I recently rented some in Brat and the app would not stop timing and charging until I parked in an appropriate spot.

They seem to scoot with impunity here?

They do here too, in fact some 'so called parents' positively encourage their 'little darlings' to use them   ???. Maybe IF those parents took some responsibility for their own little brats, the Police would not need to have these 'Operations'  ?

In South London they are the transport of choice for the phone snatchers and the bag snatchers. On Tooting Broadway  when the traffic is at a standstill they weave in between the cars trying to pop open the boots and grab what ever is inside

And they are fast, most of the roads, even the big main roads, are 20mph now, they will overtake you like you are going backwards. They ignore red lights and no entries.

Police had a tactic , which worked exceptionally well,  to deal with the robberies that were taking place in London  using motor cycles and scooters. They simply used the 'knock em off' tactic. It certainly stopped a lot of street robberies. They had to abandon the tactic due to the injuries, followed by compensation claims, from the offenders  ??? Seems to me that the same tactic would work well on this growing problem too.

Seemingly the toe rags always win out over the law abiding? Lawyer profit too?
