old'un
Dont know if this is in the right place but here go’s Found him dead in a bomb hole five years ago when shooting some pigeons on rape, I was on the same field this week and he was still there but obviously a skeleton, I picked up the skull and put it in my bag, on getting it home I gave it a wash, looking at the skull and teeth he was obviously an old boy, he had what looks like an abscess on his bottom left canine that had eaten into his jaw bone, must have been in some pain when he died. Easy question for some, what animal is it from?

old'un
Yep, Badger, when I first found this chap 5 years ago he was curled up as though he was asleep, he had not been dead long, perhaps a day or two, he was in poor condition and very thin, now on my recent visit to the same field and bomb hole he was still there but obviously five years later a skeleton. Not sure how well they will take it though And before anyone asks, we won`t be having roast badger for Christmas dinner. We had it at Easter OB Edited December 13 by Old Boggy

We had it at Easter OB There was a tin miner in St Just (West Cornwall) who's nickname was badger. Apparently his father used to eat badgers (badger "ham") and the name got passed on. Antibiotics didn't touch it so the dentist drilled into my tooth (front bottom) and popped it with a wire pushed down to the root, the pain relief was instant but the taste was so foul. Must be a nightmare for wild animals to get things like this and no treatment.

la bala
I once had a an abscess under a tooth, luckily it was on the outside of my gum. The pain got so bad I stood over the toilet, doubled my fist and gave it one heck of a punch. Instant pain relief, but one disgusting looking toilet bowl covered in brown smelly stuff.
