BASC insurance

Evening all, I am looking for family shooting insurance. Obviously BASC is not the cheapest out there but I don’t mind paying extra if it helps the future of the sport. Does sasc do similar work? Is the BASC worth the extra over just paying for an insurance policy?
I have done a search on the forum but have been unable to get a definitive answer, I can see this has been a contentious subject in the past but I’m am just trying to decide what is best.
Thanks.

BASC say that they are insurance in the first instance, unlike most others. They make a big play on this and say if you need to claim they will deal with it. Others may want you to claim on your house policy or other insurance first. I think there is a article on there website

What type of shooting do you and your family enjoy?

Do you want to shoot competitively?

Do you want to insure your guns?

We go clay pigeon shooting, beating on a local shoot, rough shooting, pest control and a bit of deer stalking. Not interested in competitive shooting, insuring the guns might be a good idea depending on policy excess and premiums.
Thanks.

I should maybe have been clearer in my original post, but I have shot for a good number of years and had insurance. But with the kids showing an interest,  licenses seeming to be getting harder to get and shooting sports being under scrutiny, I was thinking I should join a organisation and do a bit to secure the future of the sport.

securing our future by joining basc after they called for a ban on lead is the last thing I would do!

Never saw they called for a lead ban. But guess it's how you read into it. You realise that nothing they do would change the transition/ ban right ... It's happening, basc or no basc, just have to deal with it.
