Gloucester Old Spot sausages, beech wood smoked bacon, oven chips in beef fat, shiitake mushrooms and two poached eggs,,,, one duck, one chicken. Salt and black pepper,,,, sauce was the beautiful egg yolks 😋😆 Definitely filled a gap 😀😀

That look lovely and I can see you like most of the meal well done , I can't remember having that sort of meal for my tea but I have had a few similar ones for my breakfast , I used to take a few guns for a early morning duck flight down a lake we have got and the highlight for me was not shooting a few duck it was the breakfast when we got back , not sure what the breed was for the meats but when you have been out for a few hours early in the morning I wasn't bothered about breeds , that and a nice cup of tea was the the perfect start to a long day . :drinks:  MM

That looks delicious,  and those sausages are just how I like mine.

I'm a bit uneasy about mixing a chicken egg and a duck egg on the same plate though.  It's a bit like mixing cross plys and radials on the same axle.

You cross on the stairs ????? .  Are you some kind of thrill seeking adrenaline junkie 😲😲😲😲.

At no point did I say that I wouldn't eat it . I would just feel very uncomfortable about it , and a little bit ashamed of myself afterwards 😁.

Thanks and yes, sausages should be cooked, not just browned a bit 🤦‍♂️😆

As for the eggs 🤔🤔🤔 had one duck egg left out of the half dozen, and wanted two eggs, so,,,,, had to cross over to the shady side 🤪🤣

Exactly 👍 but, the bacon, being dry aged was,,,, well, a bit dry and not as crispy as I prefer 🙄 Still very nice though, as was all of it 😋😋😋

I could tell you that she is a trained Chef who worked with the Roux brothers before becoming head Chef to the CEO of McVities but virtually useless in the kitchen - sure she can make a flower out of a Tomato but give her an Egg to boil......
