Northern Ireland, I sent my FAC renewal with a variation start of October. Still waiting. Service or what.

It's getting beyond a joke over here. Every renewal or variation I've put in for I've had to get BASC involved to get my FAC processed. It seems the only targets they have are first time applications.

12 weeks in west mercia 2 years ago and my girlfriend has just yesterday sent her application off her first ever Shotgun Cert........... so will keep you posted on that !

Well at 6:15 last night Mrs S/S got a call from our local FLO to arrange a visit which is set for 8:30am on friday (soonest possible date). :good: Things are looking good cant wait till her certificate is through though. Will keep you posted on the progress.

So from application being posted to first contact 21 days and 24 days from posting of form to visit. Good going by West Mercia, shame they havent always been so quick ! :drinks:

Update on this,Northumbria have in the last few weeks went over to civilians dealing with fac and sgc certs and BOY HAS IT MADE A DIFFERENCE.My pal received his fac today "23" days after posting off his application. He was told the police had a 12-16 week target turn around which they rarely met.The new team have a 3-4 week target and they plan to stick to it.So a big up to them
