Nicky T
I have some 30g no.6's that i was going to use for shooting pigeons. Will these also be suitable for shooting rabbits too?

shoughton
Should be fine although some would recommend number 5 for bunnies. I've used 30g number 6 and 32g number 5's - both have done the job fine within range. My shooting is always the limiting factor as opposed to the cartridges anyway Good luck Steve
dusk2dawn
I have some 30g no.6's that i was going to use for shooting pigeons. Will these also be suitable for shooting rabbits too? It really doesnt matter what loads you use if you cant judge range, or shoot for toffee, only joking, as a boy I shot rabbits with whatever cartridges were left in the drawer, sometimes .410 other days 12g still shot them just as well. No 6,s are a good all round load and will do almost everything you want, provided you understand the use of range and chokes. All the best D2D. Guest topshot_2k
if im lamping from pickup then we use 36g #5 shot, if im out in the day just walking up then 30g or 32g #5's
Bleeh
whole ferreting season I used RC1 28 6's because there cheap as chips - and you never shoot them that far off anyhow.

sambu13
lamping from pickup then we use 36g #5 shot That sounds very hard hitting!!! is there any reason you use this at night as opposed to just 30/32grm?
jethrofurness
Your cartridges seem a good choice but if you shoot them an they don't run off then that size cartridge must work, when were out for rabbits it tends to be the cheapest 30/32g #6 or 7, the trick is to not to be to ambitious with the range you try to take them at.
Ozzy Fudd
i only use 32 gram 6's, covers all eventualities - pigeons, crows, rabbits, etc that might pop up as i walk around the fields
