What cartridges are best for Rabbits?

Recommended Posts

I have some 30g no.6's that i was going to use for shooting pigeons.

Will these also be suitable for shooting rabbits too?

It really doesnt matter what loads you use if you cant judge range, or shoot for toffee, only joking, as a boy I shot rabbits with whatever cartridges were left in the drawer, sometimes .410 other days 12g still shot them just as well.

No 6,s are a good all round load and will do almost everything you want, provided you understand the use of range and chokes.

All the best D2D.

i only use 32 gram 6's, covers all eventualities - pigeons, crows, rabbits, etc that might pop up as i walk around the fields

But Babby what the hell you guna do if you run into a couger ? :good: as quoted from Taladega Knight's "There's a god damn couger in the car!!"

That sounds very hard hitting!!! is there any reason you use this at night as opposed to just 30/32grm?

yep in case Mr fox pops up  plus they cycle well in the auto, kill outright 95% of the time and dont ruin all the meat (unless at close range  )
