This is my Dad’s SBE 1 which I’ve used for wildfowling, I’ve occasionally used 3.5” steel cartridges and like most cartridges some kick more than others, what I like is it’s light and very easy to clean, you’ve made a good choice 👍

Know how you feel @team tractor, earlier this year my ex decided to move on, find someone new and start again ‘to have some fun’, unfortunately she didn’t want to tell me straight away about the new guy or the hefty debts she’d accumulated, 🙄😆. Time moves on very quickly, I’m in my own house now, my kids prefer living with me, I cooked my first solo Christmas meal for them, I’ve just finished overloading the dishwasher while listening to ‘always look on the bright side of life’, life is good. 👍

For wildfowling & pigeon shooting your budget is very healthy and you have an array of options, if you’re looking at the browning then also consider a Winchester sx3 or sx4 👍

Guntrader, max price £800, beretta, semi auto, I’m sure you can work out the rest

It took me less than 5 minutes to find 3 beretta a400s for less than £800….
-
Surely 29 minutes too long? 😆

I applied for 5 passports for my family last year, thought it would be a bit of a nightmare but I was pleasantly surprised, clear & precise instructions, progress updates and turnaround time was spot on.

Lamb Protection plus the day the moors stood still.

Sorry to hear about the loss of Jack, what a life that dog had by your side though pal, plenty of great memories created. -
Stunning photos, thanks for taking the time to post about your trip 👍

Like a lot of platforms you just have to be careful when buying as somethings are too good to be true, like a 2019 ford ranger for £5000 I’ve just been looking at 🙂. A colleague of mine who I wouldn’t have thought of to fall for a scam once paid £50 up front to have a pool table delivered, balance due on delivery, unfortunately that delivery never happened.

Well a little update….I’m still none the wiser 🙂, thanks to everyone for their opinion, seems 4x4 estates are a viable option, must admit I do like the look of the Audi allroad. The Honda crv is front runner if I go down the SUV route.

Geez people I was hoping someone would say the 4x4 estate was the best thing since sliced bread 🙂, joking aside I really can’t make my mind up, the convenience of everything being in the back of a pickup truck is appealing but I also like the cheaper running costs of a car/suv, I was talking to someone who owns a vw Amarok, lovely looking truck, he said if he takes it really steady he gets 30 mpg, otherwise the norm is around 27 mpg….SUVs then look more appealing 🙂

Thanks all, I do like the Audi allroad a4 & a6, is it true the cvt box in the Subarus isn’t the best? @scarecrow243 my dad has had 3 isuzu dmaxs now, funnily enough it was a dmax which pulled me out when I got stuck, I asked the bloke if he wanted me to reverse while hooked up to the tow rope, he just smiled and said it’ll be fine and pulled me out like he was towing a go kart 🙂

Afternoon, I was wondering if anyone uses/owns a 4x4 estate car as their main vehicle? I’m looking to change my car soon, I’ve read a lot about trucks & SUVs and can’t really make up my mind. I have no need for a serious mud plugger, between work & wildfowling my 2wd Volvo was mainly on tarmac last season. I joined a new club where unbeknownst to me one of the access points which looks ok in the summer gets churned up by farm machinery in winter and I got stuck one morning. One or two of the other access points are solid roads but are pretty rough. Having driven estates for around 10 years I was thinking of something with a bit more ground clearance but I’m sure some SUVs don’t appear to have that much more clearance than some 4x4 estate cars, thanks for your time.
