Clay pigeon shooting on a boat

There was a company running trips up the Thames which included clay pigeon shooting. Will try and find the details.

EDIT - here you go Doesn't answer your question but it shows it can be done.

Hi thanks for that, when we get it sorted out you can have a free day out with us. Doing it for fun a group of us about 7. The boat should be large nought works in the Irish sea in 2 meters of swell so on a good day it will be FUN.

It would be good to find that bit of paper which says you can do it at sea just to get every thing right.

I have a couple of friends who have a auto trap bolted to the top of a wheelhouse of a fishing boat. They are quite often out in the river just off mersea shooting.

This has been cleared by plod, and is no different to punt gunning really. If you are afloat there isn't much that can be said. Unless you are either causing a nuisance or shooting at other boats etc.

Pick ups are difficult though.

I have shot off the side of loads of cruise ships most of them didn't have a clue about safety and one of them had you standing on a two foot high crate with the hand rail at knee height. Most set it up so that you were at the side of the ship going at a rate of knotts with the clay disappearing rather rapidly in our wake. I think they were astonished when I hit a few as no one else had. I also had a go off the side of a Brittany Ferries ship once but I don't think that they do it now. If the ships had been at anchor or similar it would have been a good experiance but I personnally found it a shade dodgy. from Auntie.

I don't know if it is the same thing as above but I found this in the link below. The pictures show shooting and they dont apear to be a long way off of land. I have no connection with the company. As long as the guns are legal I cant see a problem and shooters shoot from the foreshore and up creeks and rivers so why not from a boat as long as the lead lands in the water and not on property Ect.
