dunganick
Right most of us know the results of these competitions, however here are the actual measurements, have to say there were some supprises when i got the calipers on the smallest group comp. Group Comp. I havent put up all of the groups as some of them were a little wayward. Here are the top 5 though. Dunganick @ 0.587 Dougy @ 1.044 (much tighter group than mine, but with a flyer...... pictures to follow) Deadeye ive @ 1.064 Drovers @ 1.140 Sparkie @ 1.150 There are others but these were the 5 close ones, i can post the rest if requested. this is Dougys' group, its a shame about the flyer because its a stunning group otherwise. Stalkers test: 88 : Miffy 87 : Drovers 85 : P03 85 : SussexLad 83 : Dougy 82 : HenryD 80 : Dunganick 80 : Margate Shooter 79 : Ferret Master (great effort) 74 : Deadeye Ive 70 : Sparkie 68 : Rarms 64 : Stealth Stalker 64 : Martin Cavie (with a target rifle and iron sights) 63 : StuartP 61 : Pin 38 : Flash 37 : YoungAirgunner 5 : Snotty (shot with a black powder Gun) Cranfield will be sorting prizes and either him or me will get in contact with you about how to claim them, The scores which are tied were decided on the least number of outright misses and then in the case of SussexLad and P03 on count back, and are in the correct order on the above list. pin
Thanks for putting up Nick. I was a little disappointed with my performance but I have never shot from sticks before, or shot a .223 before (lovely rifle, thanks stuartp!). At least there were some dead deer in that 10 shot session
dunganick
Thanks for putting up Nick. I was a little disappointed with my performance but I have never shot from sticks before, or shot a .223 before (lovely rifle, thanks stuartp!). At least there were some dead deer in that 10 shot session the main reason your score is low is due to your last few shots, the rest was pretty good. pin
Would have been interesting to go down and photo the target after I shot it, next time out on a range like that I will have a plan about what I want to play with. Bit overwhelming the array of choice etc, next time I will be better organised

Dunkield
Thanks for putting up Nick. I was a little disappointed with my performance but I have never shot from sticks before, or shot a .223 before (lovely rifle, thanks stuartp!). At least there were some dead deer in that 10 shot session :( You are welcome Pin, if you aren't used to the target or the format you and SS both shot well. I have shot this comp 3 or 4 times before using my 6.5 but never with the .223. I am used to pulling the 2 standing shots off sticks, best case into the 8, worse case into the 3 but never 2 into the zero. A shamefull performance on my part Well done to the lads who won, some very good shooting there in far from perfect conditions
miffy
Really enjoyed shooting both competitions but unfortunately me and Ive thought it had to be shot with the .17HMR :( I didn't get the time or the chance to reshoot it with my centrefire rifle, i'm pretty confident i would have done alot better if i had. Oh & I'll be putting in for a variation Cheers SS

rarms
Nick, Is it possible to post the per shot count so we can see which shots we fluffed? i.e. the point score per round fired starting from the prone bipod upto the standing sticks? Cheers Kyle
henry d
who was the clever clogs that shot that hole in my prarie dog cus i'm sure it wasn't me. Probably Henry D, after all he managed to get 12 into the Buck in the 10 shot stalkers test OK, I`ll bite, I did not shoot 12, for 2 reasons, firstly I only took 10 rounds with me and secondly a person to my left who was not shooting the competition at the time shot just before me and there was a puff of sand to the right of the target I was shooting at. I know who it was, but will not embarass him.

Dunkield
If FM fired them we should have discounted both of the 10's not just one like we did
