  1. it depends on the way you tie the bait. if you put a scissor bar down the back of the trap with bait tied to the bar and then middle of bar hinged to roof of trap and then wire running from top of scissors to the trigger then you should not have a problem with fox hanging its self. i had a scissor trigger trap for years and never had a problem. i did how ever have a trap with tread plate and one leave ginger could get the bait out with out tripping the plate. got over it by lowering the roof so fox couldn't jump over but i like big trap with nothing to spook the fox. NJC.. have you finished making that trap yet of is it now a spring project. Phil.
  2. BFG's sir. i wouldn't lower my standards to Generals. I could last year on duelers as i stuck mine in a hedge. this years im happy on BFG A/T. been all over the place and not overly worried about it.
  3. just stick with your straighteners and hair dry to melt the snow, grabbers in a jimny, yer right!, you hair dressers must be earning a few quid to think about off road tires. :yp:
  4. I asked the same question i while ago Ped and didnt get and answer so i goggled them and found as many different make i could and took a rouge idea as the size i needed and then made a few calls. i ended up with a 10 x 5' and a 30" bedding box. this was for 2 cockers but in all truth i only use it for drying them off under the heat lamp then their in the house as its nice to have them around.
  5. You don't train a cocker as it knows what it has to do, it trains you so you have to ask it to do things and trick it at times to get the result you want. force it or get to heavy and pup will shut down and sulk. always finish on a positive. cockers are grate at trying to read your mind and getting it wrong so try not to keep doing the same things the same way or you may find the dog tries to be one step ahead of you. once you have what you want out of the dog you need to just keep topping it up else things will slip. the cocker master class dvds are good and well worth a watch to get the idea as to whats needed. Phil
  6. I bought a bi-pod from dealextreme last week, only $46 paid via paypal and the delivery was .01p to had to be worth a look even is it was just to go one the cheap rifle. postman knocks on door this morning and gave me the parcel. no tax or any customs charge so even happier. on open the box was a bi-pod 9-13" in a harris bag with all the paperwork to match . i did think it might just be the bag its in but its of fair quality and a swivel type so if its not then not to worried as £25 on paypal and i get a notched leg swivel bi-pod. well chuffed. this is the second time i have ordered with the above and both times i have been happy with postage, price and quality. All the best Phil.
  7. Love my boston. i have had it a few years and use it most days in winter. when im in the hide i sit on it, i shoot sitting down on a fishing chair, or i drop it down my welly boot. the wife has washed it in the washing machine when i left it in my coat. when she told me i just turned the top to the 'on' side and pressed the ignition. lite with no problems and the batteries are still good after 3 years. i want another one now but i will wait till summer when there cheaper Phil.
  8. my wife has just been telling me about this... Mr Cameron promised the father, before he was elected, that he would fight for justice to be done. this illegal immigrant leaves a girl dieing under his car while he runs off and the serves 2 months of a 4 month sentence only to reoffend 4 times since. yep Cameron you have done it again. you have saved more money by not having to pay for the air fair and not have to pay prison staff for long sentence and this illegal immigrants detention and one less child tax credit. i can not type what I'm thinking a it would come out as *** and i would more than likely get bang and then arrested for incitement to hatred. the illegal immigrant should have been deported and MM put on the plane with him to look after him.
  9. shame your not closer to gloucester or i might just be looking at a cheap plinker
  10. 2 second look can up with Item number: 190472876715. Under £60. not the only one on there either. not trying to knock you but a fair price for second hand would be around £50 IMO if you can get what your asking for then fair play to you.
  11. Me i like the Black. i had a browning in camo and it was a pain in the bum to look over for any problems, scratches or drinks that could lead to a malfunction. my beretta is black weather coated and easy to look over for scratches. if you do go for a camo then look at the finish on them. most coatings are put on a white back ground and after a very short time the top coat will wear and the white will show through and IMO, devalue the gun by a long way. from new, the only camo gun that i liked the finish on was the browning hunter gold as they use black as a back ground and when you looked at the edges of others you may find the white showing or the top coat chipped off.
  12. £100 is a little steep for secondhand. £80 new from stalker uk, with speaker. I have used both and just settled on the remote one but use rechargeable batteries as its a little hungry.
  13. I just use a 4" grinder with a sanding disc and then a detail sander to take any lines out. i then use bee's wax and rub into the brown veins and then polish with shoe brush and cloths
  14. I can see a quarter pipe come up for the local kids. use his car as the base and then start the big dig. i would has so back filled the tw4ts car in as i dig all the other parking spaces out. i hate inconsiderate tw4ts gets my goat up.
  15. I went and did the same thing a few years ago, it looked just right for the living room so i had it wrapped and got it home, cut a couple inches off the bottom before getting it inside, cut the netting off and **** me they must have swapped it, it was massive, about 3 foot to tall and 8 foot across. it had to go in the conservatory and i had to go buy more lights and hangy things. needless to say im not trusted to go get the tree any more right result.
  16. OH god i hate you lot so much...... I use to do a loaf every morning so it was ready for lunch with some left for the kids when they got home from school. Mmmm warm fresh baked bread, lashings of butter and a cup of tea. mouth is watering big time. also i cant have the butter any more or the gluten in the bread. i have to eat this cr4p they call gluten free now. it really dont taste the same. a seed loaf was one of my favourites with pine nuts and pumpkin seeds. Mmmmm. Phil.

  19. you have the mkII super select 2H=High Range 2 Wheel Drive 4H=High Range 4 Wheel Drive 4Hlc=High Range 4WD With Locked Center Differential 4Llc=Low Range 4WD With Locked Centre Diffrential do not drive on hard or high traction surfaces in 4 wheel drive mode or you will knacker your transmission flashing lights warning. either 4WD or C/D is engaging/ disengaging or something is not right. you should always have the bottom two lights lite. centre orange one flashing for longer that a few seconds is not good, could be the switch, which is a gearbox out job to get to it or it could be as simple as bad oil in box. top two green lights flashing. if their flashing as you go from 2wd to 4wd try taking your foot off the gas for a second so the engine speed drops, this will give chance for things to lock in place. same for when your coming out of 4wd to 2wd. foot off gas takes the pressure off so things will slip to where they should be, if you still cant get the lights to go out try reversing a little way as it can help it. if things stay flashing then you have a problem. pocuk is the place that will help you out. good bunch of guys that will sort you out. Phil.
  20. if their flashing it means that their trying to engage, they need to be solid lite. is it the super select gear box or the older one?
  21. the bolt is just in the fired potition thats all. you do this for then you want to strip the pin for cleaning.
