  1. just had an email from Maplins saying the Lenser £10 off. £39.99 and a free P3. http://www.maplin.co.uk/led-lenser-p7-professional-torch--free-p3-pocket-torch-593908?C=Email-Newsletter&U=12P12-32&T=carpshed@hotmail.com&utm_source=Newsletter&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=12P12-32
  2. you have to make sure the bolt twist locks into place. it is the think that put me off buying, I went for gas operated instead. I have had a few friends guns on the bench now with this problem. make sure the key ways on the bolt face are clean from muck and unburnt powder and do not over load with oil when cleaning. less is more in this case.
  3. bit late now but I email details to glos FEO and then keep a hard copy on file. I had it a few years ago. they had no record of one of my rifles even though it was bought at the same time and from the same person as one of the other rifles that they did have record of. they had no record of my new shotgun and I still had 2 other shotguns in file that I sold a year before. these I had hand delivered to the glos HQ. hence why I now email and ask for a read receipt. I have to sent in for a 141 very so place the bets on how long it will be in for. hand delivered tomorrow morning.
  4. I use to load with a lee hand loaded tool, the one you smack the primers in with a hammer, pour in powder and then smack the bullet in. 1/2" @ 100 meters cant get much cheaper than that. I still load for the .222 but with a press. benchmark start load, cci primer, ppu brass and 52gn a-max. some of my brass is on tenth loading. I do not agree with some on here that you need all the gear and top price this that and other. its the marketing that has caught most of them. keep it simple and enjoy what you do, forget chasing the perfect load, leave that for mugs with money or no sense. hehe.
  5. olight m3x, £89. deerelight nightmaster800 , £119.
  6. B&Q £9.99 picks eyes out to over 200 mtrs. shootable at 100 mtrs
  7. Where abouts are you based. I can hold but I would want a deposit. I sold it once last year and then the gent didn't want once his ticket came through. Pm me and i'll give you my phone number for a chat if you likes Thanks TB.
  8. there was an article last year in one of the mags, made some interesting reading. http://www.sacs.org.uk/attachments.do?attachment=42&item=197
  9. I just don't use it. Its in the cabinet and I keep knocking it. its to nice a rifle to be doing nothing with. I have a few other rifles that I use more. I cant remember the last time I used this other that taking it to the range to check zero and them put it back in cabinet. in truth this is properly where I have used it most. with Remington ammo it will shoot a one hole group. I bought some hornady to give them a go but the group is 1"@100yrds. a few of the guys on here have shot this rifle at the range, maybe they could vouch on how accurate it is and the condition of it. sorry there is no paragraphs in this but win8 doesn't like this forum. Bullet, You know you need this rifle. you have the slot for it. Christmas is coming and you really need to buy yourself a present, its the law you know.
  10. Thanks for asking Marcus, Yes you know the shop.lol. Sorry but sold this afternoon, just not had chance to change post.
  11. This was brand new last year but the Muppet in the gun shop over tightened the mounts. cant do anything about it now as he has shut down. The tubes have crimping on them but it has in no way effected the use of it on my Tikka T3 .222. I didn't know until I upgraded the scope. I tried to take a photo to show but it wasn't noticeable. there is a few cabinet marks on the turret caps due to having to many rifles in to smaller space. the front flip cap has been flattered off on the bottom so I could get the scope as low as possible. I haven't made the scope sound to good. LMAO, but I'm a fussy bu66er so would rather give all the dabs so there is no supposes to the buyer. Would much rather a face2face so buy can see but will post. £100. SOLD Here's the lowdown. The NIGHTEATER™ Scopes are made in a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The lenses we use are Grade A which are the best available. Other brands typically use Grades B, C and D to save costs. 12. as normal M$ release a beta OS and get the joe public to test it and then they send out the updates which then cause a new issue and more swearing. I have been running it a short while and in truth it is the biggest pile of S4!7 since vista and ME. I will give it a little longer to see if any of the issues get fixed but I can see me installing Win7. I have a brand new set up. only win8 on it and M$ office yet it still locks up and runs slow with 'Program Not Responding' being the normal daily grind.
  13. there was a debate recently between Microsoft and Avast. it was proved there these is still a need for a full AV program as MSE was still letting things past. most free AV try to install web browsers so just check/uncheck the box. you can also install a cloud base AV like Immunet, its a web base program so doesn't drag down your pc, threats are hard to hide with a web base scanner and it will work alongside PC base AV.
  14. I made a balls up and bought the wrong scales from over seas. they are the pro electronic scales, two check weights on front right if you look on Google images. I'm about to send them back, they are second-hand and need a pan but these are pence to buy. is it worth me sending them back or someone would it be with selling them on here. they only owe me £70 plus postage.
  15. whats bad is that fact they are $98 but will not post to uk as you have to go thought the uk dealer. need someone out of uk to group buy.
  16. I like the deer hunter ram, been using for a fair few years. if you look around you can get at a good price. I buy from breadon hill shooting, free delivery and very keenly priced. watch the sizes, the jackets I go for a 62 which, im told is the same as a uk52, not sure about that but im about a 50 chest and it works for me as I can build layers for the cold weather.
  17. you have the archer and early next year there will be Yukon forward. both not cheap but both made to handle the recoil of centre fire rifles. I was looking at the new rear camera types but there not recommended for centre fires so holding back for a while.
