I'd say you've hit the nail on the head, it has to be the 17rem, iv'e my .17 hmr over 2 year's and only pull the bore snake through it about every2 to 3 hundred round's and it's spot on.

1,800 rabbit's, that's some load of shooting, and this is only the middle of march.You wouldn't be able to afford to use a .17hmr with that amount of shooting.Personally myself i'd rather the .17.

Can anyone tell me how to tell what the year of manafacture is, of a Marlin 55, 12 ga, goose gun 36in barrell, I know they were built from 1962 to 1997, but i'd like to pin it down to the year.
