Couldn't really afford a Berreta but it was traded in against an O/U baikal.

UPDATE This gun has been returned from Edgar Bros with a new barrel, possible defect with the chokes (or loose choke) which let the gas past and deform the barrel.

My SGC came through this week (at last) so borrowed my pals baikal and off I went and got lucky on these unlucky fellows. (4 woodies & a jackdaw)

The lad I go shooting with has had his for years with no probs, well made gun ideal for rough shooting. I borrowed it this week and got these with it.

My SGC dropped through the door today. :blink: 1 day short of 11 weeks from posting application to Northumbria police. (5 weeks 5 days from posting application to visit ..... 5 weeks 1 day for SGC to be delivered)

Panic over ...... my SGC arrived today :blink:

I rang again today about my SGC as I'm now a little concerned it has gone missing! The young lady I spoke too said that it had been logged as issued on fri but that might mean that it was not posted (2nd class) until monday morning. She said to wait until fri and if it had not turned by then they would have to circulate it as gone missing/lost/stolen and they would get another one sorted for me.

Not very good service you got and not the service you would expect from the police . I know from experience that northumbria's firearms dep't are very busy with applications and they are also preparing a move from HQ to a new address for the dep't. I have been waiting since my visit on 8th April for my certificate and I rang the dep't last fri to make sure there were no problems with my application. I was told the certificate had been posted on the day I rang (last fri) and I'm still waiting!!

The Beretta seems like very good value to me, but I'm pretty new to shotguns also so one of the more experienced guy's will know better.
