it looks like ordinary microfilm to me

that's not a very big venue

if I was a men's hairdresser I would be reluctant to cut the hair of a very image conscious female "self styled" TV star. Better to be criticised for refusing to do it than get sued for not doing it exactly how she wanted and all the fallout that could entail I don't really get why she went into a barber's in the first place, unless she was looking for an Instagram opportunity

We have just pinched some of the kid's plasticine and pushed in a big plug when checking chambers in the past. The trade used to make a sulphur cast. Now I believe they use Vinamould

They can do, but its so variable, we have experience of both extremes from nit picking on the tiniest of details to being asked to return a vehicle direct to Enfield car auction, give them this letter and get a receipt.

Black Powder advice please.
Vince Green replied to redial's topic in Bullets, Cartridges and Reloading
I agree about Pyrodex, 777 is very good and I have used it these past few years very happily. The rust problem with muzzle loaders comes primarily not from the powders but from the percussion caps which are still, even today, corrosive. -
Black Powder advice please.
Vince Green replied to redial's topic in Bullets, Cartridges and Reloading
Yes but available from a lot more places. The other problem with black powder is where to buy it -
I would be more worried about getting a good colour match if they fitted a new bumper. It could stand out like a sore thumb. Even if it doesn't look too bad initially it will age differently

These were not sporting guns as such, they were used for commercially harvesting birds on the water and were fired into flocks of 'sitting ducks' by men who made a living by it if they were lucky. Beautiful video, thanks

The historic origin of dry lubes for pistols came about when American police started using autos and wearing them under jackets next to shirts, They needed the slides to be properly lubed because they obviously didn't want life threatening jams or malfunctions but didn't like getting the oil on their clothes. The revolvers they had used before weren't oily in the same way as an auto. With a modern gun I prefer oil like 3 in 1 There is no functional advantage in dry lube as far as I can see and because most of it is imported it costs a fortune. Back in the pistol days it was an advantage if you were shooting practical or police pistol because even then the pistols came into contact with your clothes

FAC RENEWAL / VARIATION x2 RIFLES, SAME CALIBRE
Vince Green replied to DR JAMES's topic in General Shooting Matters
I know somebody who has got about 100 .22 rifles, all "historic", he collects them. Many he only paid a few quid for. He brings about five at a time to shoot at the club each week, and he keeps a record to prove they all get used but the police seem pretty relaxed about him having them. -
Look on bestpartstore for the light cluster, probably a half to a quarter what the main agent would charge. Chips Away or similar for the bumper but the skill level of individual franchisees is variable and its best to ask to see a previous job. Or get cheeky and ask a big dealership who does their bumpers.

Oh yes and a whole raft of underlings. The councils set their own pay, how can they justify that?
-
My There are legal ways of avoiding having to pay for a relative's social care, Simply sell their house and put the money offshore where the council can't get their hands on it before the situation becomes critical. Put the aged relative in a top dollar care home, which you pay for out of the offshore funds, then after two years say you can't afford to pay anymore. The council is obliged by law to take over the social care and after the 'client' has been in there two years it becomes their "home" and under human rights law the council can't move them out to somewhere cheaper. There are specialist firms of solicitors in this area who will set it all up for you and deal with the flack from the council. There are hundreds, maybe thousands of old people living very nicely in luxurious care homes under these "arrangements". One care home I have in mind (i'm not going to name it) appears to be in on the deal. (Google Erskin Hall Northwood, not saying its the one but it gives you an idea of the luxury) i I have been there, its like the Ritz. I'm seriously thinking of doing this for my mother

Very few now, it used to be all the German Autobahns but they have gradually imposed speed limits. The only reason they left a few stretches was "allegedly" at the insistence of the German car industry who argued that they could only sell their high performance cars if the owners had somewhere to drive them. In return the German car makers had to agree to limit their car's to 155mph. Far removed from any considerations of safety

A lot of fairly mediocre council jobs carry eye watering salaries for no good reason that I can see. One of my step daughters was a housing officer for a London Borough on £47K a year. Even she could not see how they justified that much. She got the job having been doing exactly the same job for a housing association for a little over half that pay.

Pensions are a big part of every council's expenditure 65% of my council's budget goes on wages and pensions

Webley & Scott Bolt action single shot .410
Vince Green replied to Gun Watch's topic in Guns for Sale (Trade)
Ah! such memories -
Yes there is apparently, those extra ten miles per hour doubles the fatality rate in the event of an accident, I was told on my recent speed awareness course.

It seems to me that council tax valuations should be re-assessed. They are based on figures that are well out of date now.

Once Britain is free from the shackles of the EU the British economy will fly . That's not me saying that its the Wall St Journal. I would rather listen to them, JRM is a very shrewd fund manager, I would take his opinion seriously. That's not extreme its what the smart money is saying. The FTSE is at a record high, foreign investment is already pouring in. How is that catastrophic?
-
dream on! Let them eat cake?
-
and that remain figure includes all the foreign nationals who weren't supposed be allowed to vote but did anyway due to a suspiciously convenient oversight.
-
I think Cameron resigned because he knew (from experience) that it would be impossible to negotiate anything with the EU so why put himself through all that stress and humiliation? Once bitten twice shy and all that. I am sure in my own mind that if Cameron had not been so badly, and publicly, snubbed by EU leaders before the referendum the public vote may not have gone the way it did.

If you are involved in any sort of accident at 80mph the chances are that it will be life changing if not actually fatal. The cost to the country of such an accident and the aftermath is huge.
