Jt can literally change your life. More to the point not having it done can be so debilitating and you can end up with all sorts of secondary spin off conditions like poor circulation etc. Lucky you are not a horse...………. That's all I'm saying

That is not a get out of jail free arrangement. The risk increases the depreciation rate and the lease reflects it. Getting a new car on a PLP is crazy expensive unless you are offsetting it against a higher rate of income tax. My step daughter does it and I just get too cross to talk to her about it.

My 11 year old 1.6 HDI van does 55-60 mpg on its regular run to Wales, or now Cornwall. That's why I have kept it so long. I can get 30mpg out of my 5.5 litre V8 Mercedes SL55 on the same run if I don't misbehave. They have a very high top gear, engine is barely over tickover at 70 .
-
this^^^^^ it knackers the starter motor and eventually the ring gear which is an engine out job costing four figures on most modern cars. That's if you can find a mechanic capable/willing to do the replacement these days

Most MPs are people who couldn't hack it in the real world, look at the present crop! Diane Abbott would struggle as a school dinner lady.

This ^^^^ don't even think about it unless you like wearing orange

Flooding the country with people who think £5 an hour cash in hand is mega money has bankrupted a whole swathe of small tradesmen. Unfair EU competition has bankrupted thousands of British fishermen (including my friend Pete) , and small farmers (including my OH's cousin) There is real anger. The Guardian readers don't see the damage, they think its all been wonderful because they have cheap gardeners, cleaning ladies etc and these common rif raf who voted Brexit are just unintelligent racists. Britain has never been so polarised since the 1920s. Brexit, if it ever goes through, will actually save Britain (believe it or not) because it will put us back on a path where recovery is at least possible. Stay in the EU and we just get sucked into the vortex

Deer season in America there are deer walking round in the woods with every sort of injury imaginable. Some really horrible, its not about the calibre of the rifle its all about the calibre of the hunter.

I understand that the movement of doctors to work here in the UK is motivated primarily by the relative earning powers between here and their home country So we get more from India, Africa and middle east than from EU and Aus/NZ/Can/US The real problem for this country is that we have not kept pace with training our own doctors and nurses because of the ready supply from abroad. . I don't know about non qualified staff, certainly my impression is that a lot of Eastern Europeans work in the care homes but in the home where my great aunt lives a lot of the staff are from Phillipines and I'm not sure how that happens. Do they recruit them directly or is there an agency?
-
The number of EU qualified staff in the NHS has never ever exceeded 5% . India has always massively beaten the EU by being at over 13% . Australia / New Zealand has always exceeded the EU as has the US and Canada (marginally). The idea that the NHS is in any way reliant on EU for staff is a complete fabrication. so true, people do not discuss the fact that the EU is protectionalist

I've always had the family cars done every 50,000

Everybody should check their own private car insurance because the ability to drive somebody else's car with the owners permission has quietly been removed from a large number of car policies without telling the policy holders and a lot of people have been caught out. It used to be a virtually universal feature of every policy and very handy but I guess it was abused. The prediction is it will be gone completely soon, it has already disappeared from motorcycle policies. My BIL used to drive his dad's car around all the time, taking it for MOTs etc but when I told him to check if he was still insured he found he wasn't anymore so he had to be added as a named driver

Agreed but the Party wasn't quite on its knees. The evidence is now clear that by the end of the war the Nazis had spirited billions away to Argentina, even at the expense of its own war effort towards the end. The party is still very much alive today in South America and can wield covert influence in Germany.

No deal is what we voted for
-
The consequences of that would destroy the parliamentary system and it would remain broken for a generation. These clowns playing games for the benefit of their own egos are only looking at the next vote or the vote after that. They appear not to be looking at the future. If they can trick or stall Brexit, they may well win the day. However, the political landscape will be changed for ever and the damage will be greater than the short term (but unifying) pain of a no deal Brexit which wouldn't split the country. It is the EU that is broken, not the UK. Our decision to distance ourselves before the collapse is eminently sensible, even if that wasn't the reason most leavers voted to leave.

Renewal condition change .44
Vince Green replied to The Mighty Prawn's topic in General Shooting Matters
They don't understand the subtle differences between calibres. They just see bigger bore size = more power. Famous story in our club, almost a legend now, that one of our members who already had a .223 for fox was refused an application to add fox on for his .357 lever action because it was too powerful for fox -
High risk strategy IMHO,

My mother has had a similar history of problems, the NHS does a great job but the cost of an aging population is overloading the NHS's ability to cope with providing bottomless heathcare for everybody. I've just been to the dentist, it is NHS, it always appears to be providing dental treatment to lots of Eastern Europeans (we have a big population round here) who never seem to get charged

I agree with Lloyd, The trouble with all these ridiculous prices is that it encourages unregulated puppy farming
-
Not only is the food seriously bad, its also seriously slow getting served. Then trying to carry two hot paper cups along three swaying carriages back to your seat without something bad happening. I always take a flask of my own coffee and buy a sandwich plus newspaper from W H Smith at Paddington. If you want to start looking at prices try www.trainline.com

Agreed, if in doubt do it

this /\ Having seen it for myself within my own extended family, I do believe the system encourages people to behave as they do In America you most likely won't get into hospital in the first place unless you can produce proof of insurance on the spot
-
Its also the reason they are able to cut their prices and offer discounted fares, back in the days of BR the prices were fixed - take it or leave it

Back in years gone by they were sent off to Australia , it had a certain merit, they didn't reoffend - well, not in this country anyway.
