You can be sure that when the antis learn a trick it stays learned. I have read the GOV.org website right through and it does say specifically "to protect A crop" not protect crops in general. That's a tricky one. Down here in Cornwall they shoot pigeons on dairy farms and sheep farms. Tricky again But also, it's hard to be specific because, as others have said , it's worded badly. I think it's the landowner who is liable to get his collar felt. Not the shooter. The shooter is merely his agent. However, DEFRA requires that a proper written record be kept of all the things that have been tried (and failed) before proceeding to shooting as a last resort. I was actually very shocked by the size of the fines and the consequences of being found guilty if you get caught. It is a criminal offence. You could even go to jail although thats highly unlikely. I thought is was a don't be a naughty boy and let off with a warning not to do it again So let us see where this runs to. What the antis said is probably true You can be sure they did their homework very carefully before they acted. A formal complaint would have been submitted to the police stating chapter and verse how the licence is being breached. The police are then bound to act. You are only allowed to shoot a pigeon in order to protect a crop from that pigeon at that time No crop no General Licence. The same applies to over stubble. No crop at risk. Decoying gets a bit grey too because you are luring them in rather than dealing with an on going actual problem. All stuff that the antis can exploit This has been done several times on different forums over the years and although many contributors have been totally outraged by the suggestion that it is not their god given right to shoot any pigeon they can draw a bead on actually its not. Another area I am sure the antis will be focusing on to is paying for permission to shoot pigeons. Everybody that I know who shoots pigeons pays for the privilege. Often quite a big sum. £200 a day has been mentioned in the home counties to the North of London. Cash in hand of course. Couple that to the fact that permission forms appear to be routinely sent out with SGC applications and renewals now. The man who runs our Club clay pigeon section is constantly being asked to sign these permission forms. He has given up saying "No you don't need this for a SGC " it just pees off the member trying to get his renewal or application processed. Probably fighting a battle with his doctors surgery as well. Yet another concern for people in rented accommodation is that their tenancy agreement is a cut and paste download agreement from an external agency. Virtually all these agreements say no guns no ammunition no inflamable or explosive goods, no toxic substances etc. No holes to be drilled in the walls. And the police are asking to see tenancy agreements now. I wonder why?

We are not going to make any bank tremble even if we all pulled together (which we wont) I knew about this several years ago and it's the woke brigade in action. We all thought it was a bit of a joke when Nigel Farage got de-banked (and then publicly slandered) but he had the ability to fight back. Credit to him he proved it was a stich up and what was being said was a lie. But RFDs, clubs syndicates, etc get picked off one by one and can't fight back. There is nothing more expensive than cheap oil. There is a garage near me offering to service my car for less than the cost of the fully synthetic oil that the manufacturer specified. How can they do it? Only by using below spec oil. When I had a turbo Merc the turbo expert on the owners forum said he believed 90% of turbo failures were down to wrong oil being used. Tracking back on the history of hundreds of turbo failures he could identify back street or cut price servicing. Meaning cheap oil. Turbos run nearly red hot on a motorway and are cooled by the oil being pumped round them. Only top quality synthetic oil can with stand the heat without turning to carbon and blocking the oil ways

It is actually illegal to run out of fuel on a motorway. Its not classed as a breakdown so it becomes an illegal stop and can be reported. Not sure about an A road though

My old surgery was absolutely awful. Phone up to get an appointment and they just said no. What do you mean no? We have no appointments at the moment. If its urgent go to A&E. That's what they told me and that's what I did. My new surgery is much better

In Birmingham the gun trade and the jewellery trade defined the city a hundred years ago. The spin off industries of car making and motorcycle making evolved from the engineering skills brought to the city by the gun trade. Today Birmingham promotes its jewellery trade history a great deal. We absolutely do need them, we need the money they generate within the sport. The money they pay out to clubs and in the shops. The money they spend on magazines and the friends they introduce to come and have a go.

If the French took them straight back, immediately with no question initially it would cause more difficulty in Calais. However, in the longer term, once the realisation that it was never going to work got through to them they would stop heading to Calais. Then the French problem would be solved as well. WIN - WIN

Neither, the demand for it is so low and the restrictions on importing, storing and shipping powder is so great that the importers don't think its worth the bother for what they make out of it. Also the RFDs are so strapped for cash that they can't afford to stock up when it does become available.

Actually we pay the French to patrol the beaches. We assumed (wrongly as it turned out) that while they were patrolling they would stop any migrants they saw getting into boats. The French saw it differently, to them the deal was just to patrol. Nothing in the agreement about stopping the boats or the migrants. There are numerous examples on video of the French police standing watching the migrants chamber aboard the dingies and more or less waving them off.
