if its the end of lead, what about .410's

Yes the Game Wardens in Upstate NY are pretty aggressive about some things but totally lax about others, you can buy a .30-06 in the morning, go out to the woods in the afternoon and shoot tin cans with it totally legally. Bullets could be flying around all over place. Families out hiking nearby etc But you cant use a .30-06 to take a buck in deer season. It has to be a shotgun with slugs because slugs don't carry. Over here its the same, you cant shoot a duck with lead shot but you can sit in the same muddy hole and shoot a pigeon or a rabbit or a fox or a clay with lead shot and its totally legal I was reading a piece, unfortunately i did not save it, in it they said umpteen millions of birds die every year from ingesting lead shot, But how would they know? Figures plucked out of thin air, They must not be allowed to get away with this sort of emotive ***** without accountability -
We used to make them out of plastic drain pipe too

LePen is Putin's poodle, bought and paid for. She wants to leave NATO, and leave the EU. Neither of which would be good for France but very good for Putin. The only reason she is so high in the polls is because Macron is such a plonker. For decades Russia has given support to far left groups to try and bring about "the revolution Comrade" but realised they were populated by air heads and dreamers. Now under Putin the support goes to the right wing organisations and that is having more of an effect, especially in America

That may well be because they are 24grn bullets not 40grn -

Well my mate has a shot maker but the same problem is going to happen with the supply of wads cases and perhaps the powders too. Also it may keep a few old boys ticking over for a couple of years but no new people will be coming in to take their place. Muzzle loaders are worried about all this too. Will they be exempt? -

This is a good well balanced article on .22 lead free Our lead free bullet test compares three lead-free rounds using four different .22 rifles | Rifle Shooter (rifleshootermagazine.co.uk) the only problem is the price -

They are not going to be able to keep that up and running just for a few .410 cartridges. This is the problem, the market for ammunition doesn't have to dry up completely. Even quite a small drop in demand will tip manufacturers over from making a profit to making a loss. The same with dealers and shooting grounds. They are all barely managing to survive now. it will have a domino effect -
I dont think it is fake news.

Yes they are making veiled threats towards Finland and Sweden. Bluster and deflection? probably, but these countries are now paying the price for sitting on the NATO fence for decades. Enjoying the implied protection of NATO but without the cost of membership. Well chickens come home to roost folks. Better start learning to speak Russian because you had your chance and you turned it down

Some strange things going on in Russia well inside its borders so unlikely to be UKRAINIAN attacks.Russian military research facility, apparently involved in development of surface-to-air & ballistic missiles, located in Tver, not too far from Moscow, is inexplicably on fire with multiple dead and injured. Also massive Dmitryevsky Chemical Plant in Kineshma on fire after explosion, supplies chemicals to Russian military industryLarge warehouse im Korolyov on fire close to TsNIMash space and missile agencySome river gates blown at Krasnodor causing severe flooding.Main line through Bolgorod used for moving tanks and artillery to Belarussia suffers huge derailment. These cant all be coincidences?

I totally agree but the ammo makers dont regard UK as a very significant market on its own. So whatever happens we will still be victims of the market forces in Europe It will be gun control by stealth on a massive scale, its started already -
The problem is that Russia can just roll out another battery to replace the one that was hit. Their losses against Germany in WW2 were huge but they just kept on coming I dont think that anybody on either side believes anything other than the fact that Putin has cracked up/ lost the plot/ gone mad/ but his personal protection is insane.

The search for knowledge is relentless. Its part of the human condition "to boldly go where no man has been" or whatever? plus, as you say it keeps a few hundred over qualified nerds off the dole and (topically at the moment) keeps the Russians and the Chinese wondering what we are really up to and what we have discovered

I liken the NHS to the magnolia tree in my in-law's front garden. Its grown so out of control over the years because they never would allow anyone to prune it

Only cheaper if you don't look at the bigger picture. An aging population costs much more in the long run, not just healthcare but all the add ons

No dont take the urine, its a sensible question and it deserves a sensible answer. If you are on a five star private healthcare scheme you get something very close to what he is describing. You go for annual check ups and they do a full screening of your bloods. The question comes with the NHS, what is its purpose? Is it pro-active or re-active? Is it in society's interest for everyone to live to be 100? Biologically once we get past a certain age we fulfill no purpose. It may not be kind to say it but Darwin had a point Chickens that dont lay eggs go to to see Col Sanders God. Why should we be any different?

What I said on Tuesday has proved to be true The crew of random Columbian seamen are not qualified to operate a cross Channel ferry and the boats are tied up till further notice
