Hunters are now Chinese carp .
-
Demonwolf444 (james) on here has sawdust and Linseed oil instead of blood-pm him-I can vouch for the outstanding quality of his work.

That's a stunning sentiment fenboy-your respect for your Grandfather is admirable-you ,sir, are a true gentleman.
-
The man has become a Manikin for purveyors of any Tat that rents out his name-do people really believe half the carp they see on the box? If he spends so much time surviving alone then who the hell is operating the Camera besides, with current H&S regs, you would be buried under red tape before you could knock up a Zip wire Thong-and on top of all that-he's obviously not even a real Bear.
-
Absolutely abysmal quality wise-bought a couple of boxes 3-4 years ago and never again-guys at Northampton gun co tested 20 for me and confirmed that they were faulty but the dealer I bought them from assured me they were fine after testing another 20 (didn't mention I had already had them tested)-no need to risk buying carp bullets when you can buy RWS or Eley.

Our Instructor, my lad and myself all use SK/SK on all sporting clays and , in the case of the first 2, don't seem to suffer any handicap whatsoever-both shoot constant high 80's low 90's over a hundred bird layout. 5 years ago I would have sworn by 1/4 and 1/2 for clays but I have been amazed at how far a SK choked gun will shatter a clay. Would not use such chokes on live targets because I simply don't know how many pellets these chokes are hitting the target with-enough obviously to break a clay but not sure of their effectiveness on live game so I don't use them.

Scaremongering at its best-spares? Warranties? Do people honestly believe that a Company would come along and install free Solar Panels if they were not going to get a good return? Our panels have a 25 year warranty from both the supplier and the manufacturer (LG) plus a guarantee of performance loss of less than 7% over that period-buy your panels and they will be paying you back in less than 10 years-most likely 5-6. Our panels have reduced our combined energy bill (large 3 bed semi ex council property) from an average of £120/month down to £37 so if we could use less gas we would be laughing. Had ours installed bout a year ago by a Company called "Create Renewable Energy" who have been faultless-they fixed our existing wiring when a serious fault was discovered free of charge (took the Sparky 4 hours) and when a glitch in the system made the time/date on our inverter wrong they sent a chap all the way down from Lancashire to fix it. As for where the sales team come from Pistol p-do you know the employment history of everybody that you buy from? I used to clean toilets for a living-would you buy anything from me?

Not sure bout that Ticket Tout-my son in law never comes with us and moves from the Cabin in our Garden into the house when we go away on our Hols-been weight lifting/body building for over 10 years and would make quite an unwelcoming bloke to meet if you broke in.

Bought a 16 Gauge - Now what to do with it?

Forget the Choke, Cartridge or Range specifics-you got the answer right from the start-"stop taking 50 yard speculative shots". -
The old "it's not a real Browning" chestnut

The new price for a Medalist was somewhere in the £750 region depending on any deals going at the time-good examples are still fetching £500 so, in theory, you might have enjoyed many years shooting for very little money -
As hoggysreels above-spot on post Sir.

OK Tallshort???-its cheaper than cheap gin and IMHO you will need to spend a fair bit of time and money to make anything better.Kiffy-yes my home made stuff was very good-we messed up a small amount by putting in a drop of Almond essence that would not mix and simply sat on top of the Gin-and , btw-only managed to get 9 bottles so we now have 11 in total-sorted.

£36/month for a gold rated site.

Totty-another mark to aim at?

Post removed to avoid any offence to the OP-just jesting but can see that my comments may have been defamatory.

Well done for not giving up on her-I believe that most Spaniels will work till their heart bursts for us-seems only fair to return the favour.

The old "it's not a real Browning" chestnut
bruno22rf replied to RossEM's topic in General Shooting Matters
I struggled to get £850 for my 2 year old 525 in almost unused condition-on the other hand my FIAS (medallist) cost me £100 and a new cocking dog (£15) and would sell for £250 all day long -

I have the FIAS "Medalist"-identical in every way other than the name on the Rib-even the engraving is the same. I believe that Browning UK were losing sales because they did not have an "entry level" O/U and with the normal costs involved in design and then finding a manufacturer they simply decided to find a good quality but budget priced gun to put their name on-I would not be surprised if the idea was that a beginner would use a gun for 2-3 years and then buy a "proper" Browning having been introduced to the marque. The FIAS action is well and truly sorted and must have been made by the shed load-they also made various models using the same action-Game, Sporter multi-High rib trap etc so the way forward for Browning was simple-but the gun MUST have met their quality levels and ,I believe, that this is the reason that they are more desirable than any other gun in the price range at the time. -
Do they not have a long warranty?-otherwise take it to a decent Gunsmith-sounds like a bit of grit in the action-you could try removing the stock and soaking the action in WD40 then using an Air line to blast out any hidden crud.
-
The Browning all day long-it may well be a FIAS/Sabatti but its a good gun that will hold its value-I have a FIAS that is identical in every way to the Browning so you could go down that route-mine was £100 from memory and , after having the chokes opened to SK & 1/4 I had my highest ever score with her last week.

Picked this gun up today-250+ mile round trip and nearly 5 hours in the car. Was it worth it? OMG yes-pictures do not do this gun justice-Stock of a quality that belongs on a £1000+ gun-capped pistol grip and Butt-skip line checkering and an unmarked side lock hammer action that is as tight as the day it was made-she is in outstanding condition and an absolute joy to hold-many, many thanks Robin, I don't know how you could sell her -I don't think I ever will.

Ricky Dyson GM - miss him talking of his RAF days in Bomber command and receiving his GM from the king-Ricky was the bravest yet most unassuming and humble man I ever had the pleasure to meet ,RIP old friend.

First of all I doubt that you have 3" of plaster!! If you drill a small hole, say 6mm, into the plaster and stop when it hits brick you can then measure the depth-add about 75mm and buy some throughbolts-ebay sell them-if you go for something like a 75mm bite in the wall and a 6 or 8mm studding then 4 of these should be fine-something like ebay item no 351404567178.
