    Ginger Beer

Checked it and its fizzing away as it is fermenting Should come in for about £3 for 3 gallons
  2. I'd rather the whole thing went. If you are in no rush I will prob break it in the summer. The overdrives on flea-bay are fetching crazy £££ It has a few nice bits on it Salisbury axles, FWH, etc
  3. It is not likely to be: Graham's Gun & Tackle 9-15, South William St, Workington, Cumbria CA14 2ED ?? is it???
  4. just started some ginger beer, alcoholic type!! 1 gallon 6oz ginger root 1lb sugar 2 lemons 15 grams cream of tartar bruise ginger soak in 2 pints of boiling water add lemon peels and juice dissolve sugar add cream of tartar top up to 1 gall. add yeast ferment until bubbles stop rising then bottle with half tpsn sugar per pint in fizzy type bottles
  5. If it is deactivated then blueing the barrels is perhaps not worth it. Dismantle it carefully. Use nitromors paint stripper to strip the stock and forend back to bare wood. Since it is only going on the wall the only factor is to get the wood looking nice. Use some wood stain to get the wood the right colour (walnut?? peruvian mahogany??) Let it dry and then wax it, and then polish it so you get a nice sheen that is not too shiny
  6. Hi any one got a stock to fit a Zabala 12g sbs??? Cheers
  7. I might be too far away. I have a 1977 LWB SIII, it has a 2.5 n/a diesel in it. It is fitted with an overdrive. I haven't had it running for a while.

    Dead Squizzler

My girlfriend (who is mainly a target shooter) spent the day at my mothers (50yrs vermin shooting exp and a better rifle shot than me). Oh! arrived home to carnage, dead squirrels in the flower borders, on the lawn, absolute carnage!

    Hay Fever

My girlfriend claims to have started, but I am still holding out. For me it's Timothy Grass that causes it.
  11. Languages reverted back to being an option subject in most uk schools. I have always preached to my tutor group that a smattering of phrases in Fr/Sp/Ge/It is very handy Where is the toilet? etc But, hey I was taught Welsh from aged 6 to 13!!

    THE BILL

Shame its going, but I confess (like others) I stopped watching a while ago. DS Ted Roach was my favourite character.
  20. I just use normal jars, remove the labels and sterilise them. The metal 'pop top' ones if they are heated when filled will seal very tight creating a vacuum seal.

    is it just me

I have been on a few forums: landys, veg growers etc I did a few posts before selling, i think its the only fair way
  22. Go classic?? And hone your skills!! BSA Meteor etc?? If i was ratting for pleasure then i would use a .410 shottie if £££ were an issue then a good quality, easy maintained springer is the choice I'll be interested in what the suggestions are!!
  23. Just the mention of Gran Canaria. I was on holiday with my ma in the 1990s at Hotel Gloria Palace They had a little plinking range and had regular competions in the afternoon. So ma enters the competion (she is way better than me with an air rifle) and beats all comers including a German gentleman whose vocabulary didn't include losing. OMG He didn't like coming 2nd and cut up all rough BTW ma rang on wed, dropped a bunny from the bathroom window one handed (she has disloc her shoulder) with a webley excel with open sights!!!
  24. Errrr, despite being older (wiser??) I cut down the stock on an old .177 Relum Tele to make an air rifle that would fit under my arm on a bungy cord... Needless to say it has been redueced to the parts bin!
