  1. Wow thanks for all that, I think that a BSA Meteor needs to be added to little collection to begin with. When I think about all the air-rifles that I got rid of over the years, swapping them for Raleigh Chopper bikes etc etc

Be aware that Olympic .380 are now illegal!! I had to hand mine in. Olympic 6 is still available and quite cheap, most RFDs stock them or can get hold of them
  5. When this all started I said to my then girlfriend at the time that this will turn into our Vietnam. The pictures of our boys coming home in caskets is heartbreaking. The people of Wooton Bassett stand there week in week out lining the streets paying their respects. I really feel sorrow for the families.
  6. Well done, have you had uni offers yet?? What course are you thinking of??
  7. Vince Green: Thanks for that wood is off at the moment, interesting situation. big mick11: Thanks but they only have o/u stocks Dekers: Thanks have emailed pics to them Edward: Thanks I contacted him, but I think that he only does repairs and not making new stocks Cheers, fellas
  8. I have marked out a piece of pine and have access to a bandsaw and a bench belt sander, but... I spent most of my Design Technology days at school in the metalwork shop (grade A 'O' level ) so I can always knock up a great boot scraper or garden trowel! I am not sure that I have the patience
  9. Any container that has 6" or more depth for salads Consider "cut and come again" lettuce leaves, dead easy, I have grown some butterhead lettuce, again, dead easy. Keep the slugs off and keep it well watered.
  10. I considered making one but have not got any walnut or beech, I don't think that pine would be suitable?? Might have to think about selling or a swap it owes me very little.
  11. Always liked the look of a Shetland 535, but don't know its limits.
  12. My grandad gave me a 10s note when I was born... One week later we decimalised!!!!
  13. Cheers, thanks for that. I was looking at a few things in a Holts sealed bid auction, especially a cheap Zabala to restock my 'project' gun (see other post: serious stock advice needed)
  14. Mmm, good advice, but... Have tried all dealers in the area. Have seen one at Holts, but it's too far away and the RFD costs would be too much. Don't know where to start with getting someone to do an another stock at the right price Have been in touch with straighshooter but I think he only does repairs and not basket cases. As i said the only things in favour are that it is a 3" magnum chamber!! Cheers
  15. Hi Can someone give me more info about RFD Transfer and the costs. Are costs payable at both ends? Cheers
  16. Great little indoor range http://www.tonyscamo.co.uk/ Very handy for setting up scopes, very friendly, just passing it on!!

  18. Hi, I picked this up earlier in the year. It is 3" magnum chamber so I thought it was worth saving. I do not have the missing piece of stock. It is a Zabala circa 1970 Advice please!!

  22. Worked in an inner city school in the 1990s... 'Hey sir, that rat's run up a tree' ... yes it was a squirrel!! Also the hedgehogs were harried at lunchtime if they appeared. Whilst camping in the Lakes with 15 yr olds we saw foxes, deer & red squizzers. Back in the day when education outside the classroom had meaning... :(
