  1. It's hard to say without knowing what you have made but just to narrow down the possible causes: 1. Is the crack audible with and without a pellet? - pellet clipping? 2. How big is the center hole? - too big? 3. Can the washers move/vibrate inside? washers vibrating/hitting the inner wall? 4. Have you tried changing the chamber size (3,4,5 chambers)? Not enough room for the air to expand into?
  2. I think we did that in may last year. It didn't work out for Nigel. Personally I think it would be a mistake to get someone as polarising to be the figuehead of the out campaign. I would find it harder to vote out with him leading the charge and I imagine many moderate floating votes would feel the same.
  3. No, it would just divert the criticism to the new leader. JC is certainly on the left of the party (although that isn't hard to do considering its recent past), he is a socialist, or if you are poontang an ultra hard left fuzzy faced loony, either way he is no more or no less compassionate about everyday people as any politician - probably more so than many I would guess. He's more interesting than another new Labour Blair clone but he's pretty much been hobbled by the media, and by his poor judgement and weak oration, so really he's lost before he has started.

    EU EXIT Poll

We aren't as energy independent as you think and our grid is fundamentally linked to mainland Europe, but this is really not an issue for the referendum as far as I can tell - edf won't suddenly pull out of the UK, we won't suddenly stop importing or exporting energy.

    EU EXIT Poll

Has it occurred to you that they may feel the same way about out voters? Having a different perspective dosent make you an idiot, but not being willing to examine the other side of the argument, I'm afraid, does.

, I know what you mean. My eldest is turning 13 very soon and things like headphones, Pinterest (*** is that all about!?) and getting gangly are on the increase and trampolines, smiling and reasonable reactions to minor problems are on a steep decline. She'll be getting her own opinions soon.

Kids today know nothing about nineties alternative rock.
  8. A heron. You can pick it up from that London. I said it was too easy. I've never seen so many together before - there were 7 in the same flower bed. Anyhoo, I'm off to photograph the contents of my toilet, perhaps you can tell what I had for breakfast...
  9. I was working in NW London this morning and on the way back I took a quick snap - probably far too easy, but can you see what it is?
  10. There's a council run site a few miles from me, it's sandwiched between a busy A road and a very busy waste recycling plant. Most of the privately owned ones I see are not on 'good spots' - I'm not saying it's right but sweeping generalisations like that are just lazy.
  11. I can only assume that the council gave consent because it fulfills one of their housing requirements without costing them anything. The same happens across the UK because councils have a requirement to provide sutible temporary sites for travellers (quite rightly in my opinion), usually with electricity, toilets, fresh water etc, and that costs money - not to mention the difficulty in finding land to build them. If a group of travellers owns the land and had done the work themselves then it's a no brainier for the council, especially when money is tight.

That isn't actually what he said. He said that we would be at the back of the queue for tade deal negotiations, not for trading with the US. Either way I don't entirely believe it, but the point that he was over-egging is valid; the US has more to gain with deals between China and the EU, for example, than it does with the UK so they would most likely take precedence. If the UK leaves, then signs binding trade deals with the EU so that we are part of the EEA, that could make us a de facto, albeit silent, member so we could piggyback on to any US deals. Possibly.
  13. I wish I was accident prone. OF, that's stunning.
  14. Gordon, I think you're right. Fury is not a conventional fighter, he bullies people in the ring and wears them down but VK should be better than that and not get suckered in or made to look clueless. He was very disappointing last time.
  15. As much as I dislike Fury, you can't fault his logic.
  16. As opposed to crack spills in your avatar...
  17. There are lots of people who call themselves painters or even artists, sadly very few are. Your work is excellent Scully, very skillful, technically accomplished (superbly executed shadows on the car by the way!) and pleasing to the eye. Is it a Riley of some sort?
  18. The last time I looked (but not booked), the cheapest carrier was Norwegian Air, but Virgin would be more comfortable. Do you have to be in walking distance? NY is fairly easy to get around so you could widen your area a bit. Have fun [through gritted teeth]!

Hmm, lame duck or not he is still one of the most powerful and influential figures in the world. Perhaps his current 'lame duck' presidency allows him the freedom to make honest judgement, after all it won't be him sorting out trade deals but his successor so he has little to gain from sabotage or 'doing DC a favor'. It isn't constructive to belittle or degrade his opinion just because you don't agree with it, surely it would help the out campaign more to come up with counter arguments? Personally I'm still just edging on voting out, but it is very interesting to see the possible ramifications in global political and trading circles. The more we see of this on both sides the better in my opinion.
  20. Despite the inappropriate music and poor camera work, I really enjoyed that.
  21. As promised I did a quick test this morning - although without side by side comparisons it probably isn't particularly helpful. Far from ideal conditions today as it was blustery with 10-15 mph winds coming at 45 degrees, but I waited for gaps in the worst gusts and did 3 groups of 8 at 47 yards (max I can get in my garden). My second to last shot on the last target was ballsed up by me so really all three groups should have been around the same (0.8"). I was resting on a kitchen chair (and a Jamie Oliver cook book!) using unsorted pellets AA field 4.52 straight out of the tin and a 20 year old Falcon FN19 .177 with an un-cleaned barrel. With a proper gun rest and no wind I would expect to get those group considerably smaller.
  22. If I get time on Monday I'll do a quick test at 45 yards and see what my unregulated, uncleaned rifle does with out of the tin pellets. I'll post the results.

    My father

    Sounds like karmic Sharia.
  24. If you discount the obvious fliers (and assuming no wind and a properly rested rifle) then I'd say you should be getting better groups than 7/8" at 50 yards with a regulated rifle. Have you checked the shot to shot velocity with a chrono? Do you clean your barrel? I haven't tested my rifle at 50 yards for a long time but I'd expect that to do sub 1" groups and it is an unregulated rifle from the mid 90s.
