  1. Had a great morning on the lough, was my first time on it so it was a good experience. Didn't get a massive bag, 5 mallard, 3 tufties & 3 others between 3 of us but good to be out.
  2. Good video al. I've actually got an invite to lough neagh in the morning, so looking forward to that. Keep the videos coming!!!
  3. No lad it's a beretta al 391 tekny.
  4. Cheers fella. Yes I was very pleased with my shot to kill ratio. Another video coming soon. Cheers fella.
  5. Below is my latest installment from Thursday 27th august decoying over barley stubble. This field was cut a couple of weeks ago and I know it was shot at least once by someone else. There was a lot of birds about, but they were understandably jumpy because of previous shooting. Ended up with 22 pigeons & 15 mixed corvids. Thanks for watching: My YouTube channel for other videos: https://m.youtube.com/#/channel/UCdXL__oYvbmKo0Ccm-vWRfw
  6. Thanks for the kind words 😂😂. I don't have a gopro so can't comment on that. However, stuff like music, comments etc can be added when you are editing the video. I think gopro have their own editing software, but there are other free editing programmes like windows movie maker which I use. Good luck whatever you get, look forward to seeing the videos. Plenty of techy guys on her willing to help.
  7. Thanks, but I would like to see what it's like looking at a bird.
  8. Sorry to hijack the thread. When you have used the sj 4000 please post some footage; all my videos are with the 1000 & I'm maybe looking to get the 4000.
  9. Cheers lad. Had another few hours out today, another video to follow. Cheers. What do you mean by that? Beretta al391 tekny.

    Range finder

Hi all, I'm after a range finder to use along with my centrefire rifle. Doesn't have to be brand new, just good enough to range out to 300ish yards. Cheers
  11. Brilliant shooting. Some cracking doubles amongst that. Those birds were really booting on, you can tell by the lead you were giving them.
  12. Ignore the time on the video, it's not set. Was setup for about 10.30, would normally like first light with corvids but it was to be.
  13. Cheers, happy to share the videos as I like watching everyone else's outings. Sure is fella, good sport shooting them.
  14. Mixture of 6's & 7.5's. One of the fellas almost likes the bird on the end of his barrel before he takes the shot, so that could be the reason. To be honest we finished at 3 as I was scared getting in the bad books for not spending time with my son, we could have probably got 200 pigeons had we stayed for another few hours. Cheers fella, keep persevering & you'll get permission. There is plenty of them about. Although this was a good day on pigeons we generally have lots more corvids & not the same volume of pigeons as the mainland.
  15. Had a go yesterday on standing wheat. My father & his mate were on this field on Tuesday & shot 130 pigeons. The farmer called later on the week to complain there were still birds pouring into the field. So 4 of us went to the field yesterday & set up 2 hides. We shot for about 5 hours & finished with 119 pigeons & 104 corvids. A lot of the birds were lost in the standing wheat. Highlight of my day was shooting 2 flighting birds in mid-air with the one shot, it's the 2nd time I've done this but the first time was birds landing. I didn't record this outing as I forgot my camera.
  16. Cheers fella. Yes you'll notice I took my gun down & had to put it back up. Cheers. It does. We were out yesterday & shot 119 pigeons & 104 corvids. No video this time though.
  17. Below is my latest outing on barley stubble from Tuesday. It was a steady enough day, not a really busy session but an enjoyable day nonetheless.
  18. Cheers juicer. Hopefully more black action & another video tomorrow.
  19. Good stuff. I can't believe the season is nearly upon us already. We are still waiting on our pheasants being delivered, we were meant to get them nearly 2 weeks ago.
  20. I know the feeling, I have a 10 month old and the shooting has def been curtailed lol. It defo can be confusing when they swirl after the first shot; however, as long as you don't rush the shot & concentrate on the one bird it's fine. You all set for the start of September?
  21. The camera does make some of the shots look higher than they actually are but there was a few decent shots. Cheers Cheers fella, doing any shooting yourself?
  22. It's embedded at the top of the page. If not follow this link: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QuWhWpDSups
