During the day i control who comes and who leaves the house,at night i hand that duty to my german sheperd, trouble is i dont think he would let em leave till he had satisfaction, spose i would then have to throw the bits out
  3. Daniel, welcome to the forum mate PM sent, regarding air rifle ATB.
  4. Hi,had to consider those options myself, ended up selling the volvo, buying a car for wife and daughter to use and bought myself a frontera to go shooting, put dog in,reserve for work and general spare vechicle when daughter is using car. So far its worked out well, plenty mud in and out, smells of german sheperd and the car is kept clean for the girls, think if i had gone down the other route of buying one motor they would moan about the muck/smell and keep folding the rear seats back down, hoovering out dog hair and using my petrol. Just my opinion, hpoe it helps. ATB Karl
  5. Be a while before he's ready for the pot

  8. Nice, double shot an all,did you squeak em in using frenchies method. ATB
  9. Hi bud,for what its worth i would go with the air rifle, get a .177 pcp s/hand would fit your budget of £350 with a bit of luck you may even get some gharging gear,as for the 410,its gonna be limited on range although the noise is a factor on both rifles as rabbits will be off when you fire either, but at least no one will know your there with the air rifle if its got a mod on. ATB
  10. Go for it,did the same to mine.Made the neck ring bigger, cut the tail feathers down a bit so not so wide and with a white paint pen went over the outline of feathers that lay ontop of tail feathers, looks very good and gets results with them coming to land in my patterns. You could down load a picture off web to copy. ATB.
  11. Getting the hang of these flight lines now, what you need to do is set up where you got the most activity, then leave the hide and go and sit in the hedge in another field, cause they never come in more than twice over the hide
  12. Sorry, but you have asked, its scrap.wait and see what others say though cause i have no personal experience of the rifle. But what you want for free
  13. You will defo get someone to do your building work for a £100 a day and a cup of tea, this is not aimed directly at you,but some of the posts have struck a nerve Think all thats been said is that we quaified/insured/registered tradesmen charge a bit more than £100 a day, that doesnt even cover my minmium rate, you will be looking more like,£150 general works,£180 plumbing,£230 roofing, what you must be careful of is that you dont end up with a bad job,if you do, well you paid your money and got the result, which is when most people complain about cowboy builders, which gives us all a bad name, perhaps you can see where we are coming from, and if you aint happy about us builders earning more than £500 a week perhaps you oughter join us,then after twenty years of training and hard graft, you to could be slagged off for just earning a living and being paid the going rate. How much does a mechanic charge or other qualified person charge ! When your quoting for a building job,you need to consider; survey time quotation take off of plans account bills h & safety risk assesment coshh insurance for contract welfare prelims debts warranty written contract invoicing bank charges vechicle costs ware and tare of tools building regs enviromental recyling theft public liability, etc, etc, etc so its not easy being a builder, but we just get on with it and dont worry about the people who want a cheap job or done in a hurry, and the sooner customers realise that they are causing this problem by wanting to save a few quid the better. No offence intended, just trying to point out the facts.
  14. Some success with the air gun last year, just some of the photos i saved on the phone, hope you like My first two bunnies in may 09,45 yrds one straight after the other, couldnt believe it got well hyped up after that AA 410 22 WALNUT,sold BSA Ultra 22 sold another one off the same permission These were from my fav permission, horse paddock All shot using rws superfields or bisley long range .177 ATB Karl errrrrr, dont know what happened, will try and sort

Have to agree with you on that one
  17. Mine was in 1979,saved up my pocket money and bought a DIANA SP50 airpistol, used to shoot and watch the pellet curve, from memory i looked like a colt 45,and cost £5 ish, then i bought my first rifle a BSA METEOR .22,sold that for a tenner to a mate, still to this day wish that i had kept that rifle, could consistently shoot stinging nettles in half with it,used to bunk off school to shoot pigeons. Then in 1980 bought BSA MERCURY .22,and still got it,at the time this was the rifle in our area and would shoot steel pellets through metal drums out hte other side and lodge in a brick wall, now its in the for sale section. Now ive got AA S410K .177,BAIKAL O/U 12G.am applying for fac so i can get cz452 22lr.

Now youve started something, complete waste of time.Have been in construction for over twenty years and thought about doing the abbe to qualify for this £2000 ,asked all my contacts at estate agents who said they didnt use as would have own surveyors, ask solicitors they might need someone to do theirs, then goverment didnt know if it was coming in or would last/be scapped,so didnt bother in the end. You have to have one before you can put propertty on open market,so get plenty quotes form as many independant companies as you can,a lot i approached for work were giving up through lack of business during this recession,so you should be able to get a deal. Dont think these will replace a full structural survey cause they wont.
  20. Thats very nice, right model, colour, engine, mud wanted one but couldnt afford to buy/repair so bought a frontera which has turned out to be quite good for shooting. Hope you manage to sell, good luck.fine looking motor ATB Karl
  21. My advice to you would be,broarden you search and buy a trooper/frontera,i know they not got fixed axle like landys, but then they will still get 99% of places landy will get and be better on road, for 3 grand you gonna get a lot more for your money and better reliability to boot.
  22. Magpies are only small birds with thin skulls, rabbits only have fur to act as armour, the crow how ever is protected by strong feathers and a thick skull, dont understand it though the gun is up to it and pellets are not bad, used to use these with good results on pigeon,177 is the best calibre for crows, has a lot more penatration than .22,have you tried rws superfields,i have found these to be superior to bisley, just, more accurate and good kill rate. Where abouts were you putting the pellet, and would it have been better a further range, rather than 25 yrds dont think pellet would be at its peak velocity yet,but not sure on that one.
  23. Am using gamebore steel 28g plastic wad for pigeons, and give pigeons to local bird of prey centre as the falcons thrive on em apparently.paying £38.50 for 250,make the bag bloody heavy though ,bit of a tight pattern but defo dead as a dodo, when you hit em
  24. Rinr the feo,ask how cert is doing, thats what i did and turns out was sitting on his desk, came out next day
  25. Anyone interested in a swap,my bsa mercury .22(rifle only)for a 410 shotgun. Or sell for SOLD PENDING PAYMENT
