  1. You have just been bitten by the bug,no going back now.Welcome aboard mrs C
  2. Football/newspapers,no thanks
  3. Hit first, and then again and again, never give in,never stop, thats what i have learnt from 30 yrs martial arts, get in my face there gonna be no hesitation and as much as i dont agree with sgt smellie getting away with it because he was well hyped up and over the top,but would you or i have done any different,i wouldnt have waited to see what she had in her cup or what she gonna do next, that would have been my decision not hers, dont confront a 6' riot cop with his batton out if you dont want to play, simples.
  4. LOL,pig sticking, reminds me of predator with arnie sharwachenerrrrrrrger. Welome aboard mate, sharpen your knife
  5. Yep fact, if you believe the autopsy report, the bird had been fed a pigeon that was shot with lead and not steel as stipulated by the owners, and one lead pellet was found that had been digested by the bird, game over.
  6. No problems here mate, have AA S410 .177 killed plenty rabbits, and' the difference between a few hundred ft per second',is my rabbit is dead before your shot misses
  7. DONT GET A DOG,until you have found out more about ownership, training, vets etc,its a big commitment for the next 15 years and if you get it wrong its the dog that suffers, once you have found out more then you will be able to answer your own question in my opinion.
  8. AS ABOVE Why you have to slag off your fellow shooters is beyond me,i for one am not a muppet just because i have not had a sgc very long ,i go out at least twice a week after pigeons and rabbits and any other vermin on the 6000 acres i have to shoot over ,i use steel as a lot of what i shoot go to local bird of prey centres, one lead pellet would kill a hawk :( so i only use steel to save any doubt as to what was shot with what. When and if the time comes to cast my vote and stand up and be counted i will be there to support shooting in any way i can, because i enjoy my HOBBY and wish to continue to have the freedom of choice, but has nothing to do with people like you who jump up and down and throw their toys out the pram just to make a noise does nothing to help anyone or shooting. It was after all just a poll to see what others thought about something that has not been decided yet,so i gave my opinion,if i had realised at the time i had to prepare for a full report i wouldnt have bothered, cause i am not, until i have to be bothered, that after all is why we have people like those from BASC to fight our fight, because your shouting at others and i aint bothered,so we need BASC to voice an opinion on our behalf .
  9. I use steel shot so no problems with ban here.
  10. All will be about same power 12flbs,make sure its a pcp, make sure its a multi shot, make sure its a .177,if in any doubt about the .177 bit ask your local gun smith the .177 travels faster, further, straighter and sometimes goes right through quarry, compared to the .22 travels slower, shorter, curved trajectory, hits harder, hitting your target is the most important consideration,if you dont hit it, it aint dead. Any rifle will kill at 30yrds on legal quarry.
  11. Handed 5 of mine to feo,2 s/s hammer, damascus,bell bros,belgium b/a 12g,breda 410,poachers 410 have since seen simular for sale,you could put wanted add up.

  13. Always loved guns, had a toy winchester rifle as a little kid, remember looking at gunbook in school libary(it was 1st and only time),and dreamed of being gunsmith, ended up as a builder !. My first purchase was a Diana sp 50 .177,£6.50 saved up from milk round sat job,it looked good but was ****,if you aimed 6" high and left you could sometimes hit stuff,my next was Bsa meteor brilliant rifle so accurate, stupidly sold to a mate for £10 ,then i got the mercury thats for sale now,my first shot put a steel pellet through a metal drum out the otherside and embedded in wall, that was me hooked.
