  1. Walnut or rose wood, keep it dark you know it makes sense ,if you look in for sale section at BSA MERCURY + KIT,i used same stuff/colour your now considering.
  2. As long as you are still able to get at nut to remove,ie not bolt type or you never get em out, otherwise no reason you couldnt use chem fix on anchor.
  3. Have read both of the old threads, some very good questions and helpful answers. It seems i am asking same thing you have done previously 'joke' and am of the same conclusion as you on this, will apply for the 22 czlr,17,but might just ask for 223 instead of 243,dont really want to shoot deer just munties and foxes, besides am to tight to buy ammo at that cost. Last question, and perhaps clarification on op,please could you help with makes of rifles on a budget to get in the 17 and 223 calibres,i already shoot mates cz 22 and 17 and absolutly love the cz best rifle i have ever used. ATB Karl
  4. www.muddyfrontera.com may help with the mods you planning, there is complete section on it. I got swb fronty and the lid comes off the back as standard, the best shooting platform i know of
  5. Cant see any reason why this wouldnt be legal, your far enough away and not causing alarm ,distress or hinderence to any one are you
  6. Had my AA S410 CLASSIC .177,for a while now and it was my first pcp,all i would advise is go for 177 it flys straighter no arguments and it kills what it hits, simples. Other than AA of course, you are lookink at one of the best guns out there, these were recko to me when i was looking and have heard constant praise from people where ever you go.
  7. Most of my permissions are cleared for FAC ,all farms and some of the paddocks as well. Thanks for info, very helpful.is a 223 up to deer/fox then if so wouldnt need 243. Gonna ask to have open cert, not sure what will happen, but have 6000 acres on local farms, managed to get all neighbouring farms so can go from one to another
  8. Know what ya mean,3 weeks now.aaaahhhhhhhhh......................................
  9. There are aproved methods that lock gun to wall,am sure this is what he meant and its legal as long as its out of sight of general public etc
  10. Hi all, looking for a bit of advice on fac rifles, will soon apply for cert becuse i want a cz 22lr for the bunnies with a sak mod and subs, thinking about 17 as wellfor longer range and 243 for foxes/deer.Am i right in thinking that i could put all these rifles down on app ready for when/if i get or add to later to save costs. The only thing i am certain of is the cz/sako/subs,but not know what others to put down, have heard tikka mentioned a lot and is worth mods on these othres cz 22 452 lr + sak mod ! 17 long range bunnie ! muntjac/fox
  11. like all the american vampire series, just thought well they go out at night and kill stuff like me,couldnt htink of anything else, other than dsletxic wtit.
  12. It's not got a silencer and has a springer crack to it,could be scew cut to receive threaded mod as have removed iron sights (included). ATB Karl
  13. Well done mate, good shooting.i have 6000 acres to shoot rabbits but no one who wants to come, they only interested in pigeons
  14. Buy your own and buy a frontera, have a look here www.muddyfrontera.com have a look in the photobucket account miefield sharing a motor, unless its a mate that you shoot with so just share costs.
  15. When i was looking at suzuki 4x4s found lots but got put off at the prospect of buying a motor that could need a lot of welding,so bought a frontera and have been happy so far.Is it for shooting Look for all usual stuff + in a 4x4 check all gears work in four wheel drive, listen for cluncking/grinding,also check underneath for impact damage, worn prop, cracked diff, brake pipes, suspension,CHASSIS AND FLOOR PAN FOR RUST,and mud in foot wells as this rusts through, damaged tyres.
  16. Are ya mad Have a AAS410K .177 and is the best at rabbits on paddocks etc,am now applying for FAC so i can purchase a cz 22lr for all those out of range shots. Either get a permission or cheap PCP ultras are good OR both, but dont sell your cz surely youd regret it in the long run.
  17. Got my springer for sale, check sales for BSA MERCURY + KIT. Now just rifle for sale, dont use it any more since i bought pcp and all the kit for £1000 but dam good. The BSA is a good rifle i had since new only fired a tin of pellets you can see in picture so dont think you get better,it defo kill rabbit and pigeon
  18. Landy never been stuck No cause not, thats why yeh see so many with warn winch on the front, any way its not really the going forward thats the problem, its the up and down on the ramp in the garage if you own a landy. Frontera never been stuck, close but no cigar and no winch
  19. Have had my AA S410K CLASSIC .177,since may last year and can honestly not find ant fault with the rifle,if i had to be picky then the cocking bolt has to be a positive movement but soon get the hang of it.My mate has the hw100 and is a lovely rifle,we are all different and believe the hype that appeals to us,what i would say is; i have a preference for the following, after owning, using and referencing get .177,less drop off multi shot get a good fit for you carbine if shooting in a vechicle, classic for more shots regulated is better Air gun center in essex, gives a lifetime warrenty and free servicing test gun first, and have it put over chrono, saves your gun being taken beech,synthetic,walnut,ply,make,budget.......thats up to you AA HW DAYSTATE BSA ALL 12FLBS,accurate,kill at 30/60 yrds,so work out what you are paying for
  20. Cor,how do you find it,must have to be carefull where you lay it down
