  1. Tennis and swimming (?!) are trying to get the restrictions relaxed for them as able to distance, as is golf. Fishing has already been confirmed as allowed so their is some hope for game shooting. UPDATE: 09.15pm 01/11/2020 The Angling Trust is pleased that the government has recognised the value of allowing angling and other forms of outdoor recreation to continue – with members of your own household or with one other individual – through next month’s lockdown. It seems that tackle shops will still be able to operate a ‘click and collect’ service. So we are still fishing. Whilst we need to see the precise details in the regulations laid before Parliament on Monday it is likely there will be impacts on certain areas of our sport and we will update everybody just as soon as we are able to do so. Thanks for your patience
  2. I don’t think any PM would have survived this mess. We at least didn’t have Corbyn steering the ship through the storm and then we really would be sunk.
  3. I think lots of us are waiting for guidance - logic could suggest that game shooting is ok - I can go to work and sit in an office with windows that don’t open and loads of other people so standing 60yds from someone in a field is definitely safer, but the political angle of allowing us “posh people” as it will be perceived to continue game shooting when Chantelle and Chazney can’t go to get their awful fake tan, their bits pierced and then Wetherspoons is more likely the problem.
  4. Cycling and sleep yes. sold elsewhere pending payment
  5. Due to unexpected outlay this week, reduced to £75
  6. Bought this for training for a half marathon last year...did it but really hate running so may as well move it on! Good for cycling too with on board gps to track route Tracks heart rate, VO2 max estimate and recovery advisor through Elevate Wrist Heart Rate technology. The display resolution is 215 x 180 pixels Connected features: Automatic uploads to Garmin Connect, live tracking, audio prompts, smart notifications, social media sharing and music control Customised training plans from Garmin Connect on your watch for real-time coaching. Smartphone compatibility: iPhone(iOS 9.0 or Later), Android(4.4 OS or Later) Tracks heart rate at the wrist day or night to provide more accurate calories burned information Activity tracking counts steps, distance, pace, heart rate and calories burned indoors and out Boxed with charger etc In good condition, minor scratch on the screen which cannot be seen in use and I cannot get to show up on photo. Phone notifications come up on it so useful when your phone is in your pocket and the garmin connect app is really good for motivation with more metrics than you can shake a stick at. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Garmin-Forerunner-Running-Elevate-Notifications-Black-Grey/dp/B016ZWT64M £90 posted
  7. Yes, he’s an idiot and wasn’t thinking when he did it and his finger hurts a lot now as he has glued it back together himself as doesn’t fancy wasting time or catching diseases in a&e
  8. When stripping completely to clean your browning maxus, when you come to reassemble and the bolt isn’t quite aligned, don’t put your finger in the action to clear it without holding the bolt with your other hand...it results in the top of your finger being removed and blood on the cream carpet.
  9. For me the most utterly farcical thing is what can be done under restrictions...so tier 3 - you can’t meet other households outside, but you can go for a “substantial” meal in a pub!!! Clearly, if you only have a bag of crisps and a pint then Covid will get you but if you have a three course meal it’ll leave you alone?!?!?
  10. Have you read BASC guidance? You can still go and shoot. my first syndicate day is a few weeks away yet but living in Notts (just) I was getting nervous but unless something changes should be able to shoot but no meal afterwards.
  11. My Rav has lubricated itself underneath like that...corroded fuel filler pipe! Only noticed when filled the tank completely for the first time this year. only piece of poor design I’ve found on it, steel pipe exposed to elements and has rusted where it joins rubber hose into fuel tank (which it enters as low down as it could?) - currently repaired with steel epoxy (brilliant stuff) but if it goes again I’ll replace the whole pipe with 30mm fuel hose and jubilee clips to keep the old girl going.
  12. Any chance you ever come west towards Notts?
  13. I had one as my first car in the late 90s - brilliant. Went anywhere, never got stuck. Wouldn’t go over 50mph, the sunroof leaked and only yesterday I was thinking about how there is no way I would put my children in it comparing it to my XC60 but as a shooting “truck” they are great. In the last few years I replaced my CRV with a RAV4 - the Toyota is definitely better off road, a more capable 4x4 system and it is build much more robustly than the Honda.
  14. I completely agree with you...thanks to the Chinese, our world has changed. Hand shakes are (for now) a thing of the past - I certainly won’t be tipping with a handshake and won’t be going that close to anyone. We can continue shooting because we can easily maintain distancing - I am dismayed by the lack of concern about the virus displayed on this thread and I hope you are all luckily and don’t get it or pass it on to vulnerable family members.
  15. If it had been a conservative MP then Jimmy cranky would have called for their resignation at least 100 times by now...
  16. Are people from Notts allowed into Derbyshire to shoot? 😄 could you give an indication of cost please?
  17. Hunter are only for people on gap yah’s going to festivals and will fail at the slightest hint of mud / rocks / thorns / puddles...20 years ago they were great, not anymore.
  18. Look at decathlon - there more expensive neoprene full zip one are brilliant for the money £70 ish
  19. Could I have second dibs to try on my maxus please?
  20. Sorry. I need some more cake...
  21. Dianne Abbott could sort the testing.... we’d have twenteen squillion available per day and they would only cost 3p each so we would only need to spend £2.32 on them.
  22. Colston Bassett is the one the go for...the smallest of the 6 and therefore the most expensive but the nicest in my view, a bit creamier than Long Clawson or Cropwell Bishop although if left too long it can get a bit fierce.
  23. Inbound. thanks for a great offer.
  24. Yes please. My daughter would love that - she’s been asking for camo clothes and come with me!
