  1. All company's have a duty of care, if this was at work and you were injured doing your normal duties and following procedure then there is a good chance you are entitled to paid sick as a minimum. I would make sure that the accident book at work is completed and then either speak with the hr or take advice from citizens advice to get your options clear. If one of my guys got hurt I would ensure they were looked after but that's just me.
  2. Evening, we are starting to plan to get a second dog. We have a GSP and she is great as a pet but totally gun shy so useless in the field. What I was wondering was is there a good way to make sure my first dog is happy with a new arrival? She loves other dogs and is mad as a hatter but I thought I would ask before I potentially make as balls up.
  3. Crossman or crossman premier dome heads for me.
  4. Shirt and smart trousers and shoes are fine, gets quite warm in there so you may cook in a suit, remember to pre order drinks for the intermission, very very important, they will leave them for you to collect and saves queuing. Enjoy,
  5. Horrible situation, for me I would never give up and live out there till I found her either way. I can not imagine the horror of having to live with making the decision they did and I hope one day it works out but if nothing else maybe this has reminded people that the lives of our children are worth so much more than a night out and a drink,,,
  6. If you have £1000k and just want a hard tail then you are going to get a good piece of kit, Orange are ok if you like that sort of thing,, You could do a lot worse than getting a Santa, very solid, fast, rigid as hell and although not that important for you they do look the dogs,
  7. Cube are great bikes, but if you fancy off the shelf tried and tested full sus then specialised or giant are good for the money, try to keep realistic to what you will be doing as big travel suspension looks good but is terrible for long hilly cross country rides.
  8. Oh blast, air guns sorry,,,,, Daystate air wolf 2011,,,,, not quite as old and not black powder either,,,,,,,
  9. Favourite gun is my Fred T Baker hammer, not sure exact date but around 1860-70 ish. Only proofed for black powder but joy to use.
  10. Top film! In tears all the way through. Got to be a top ten best ever . Now miss congeniality 2, that made my eyes and ears bleed. Last time I ever let the wife choose a film.
  11. Bought a box of 250 and had 3 duds so stopped using them. Might just have been a bad box.
  12. For fac do you not need land to shoot over? If you want a bit of help just say you will be happy to have them shoot over your land not theirs for a day or two in return, that way you are exchanging something at the same time. Just a thought,,,,
  13. They do seem to like it here, got 15 outside the back door tonight with three roe in the paddock and a munt out front. Ironic that they are 50 yards outside my garden and I have no permission to shoot in the main field.
  14. Thank you for your help guys, this worked an absolute treat. Used a small amount of lube then allowed the tool to heat up a little. Needed no effort at all when it started, the unit on the left is the trial one to see what would happen and I am now able to get a full 3 dram load with 32 grams of lead into a 65mm cart with just enough room to spare.
  15. Afternoon, Just getting in to reloading BP and tried crimping and roll closing, I prefer rolling them and in the paper cases the carts roll really well, when I try plastic though I do not seem to have the teqnique, the case seems to rufuse to roll then buckles if I continue. Using a pillar drill on slowest setting. Any suggestions appreciated.
  16. Evening, I have a lot of roe and muntjac on my land so am used to these guys wondering about. This morning I take the dog out and in the first field there are about 10+ fallow about 100yrds away happy as larry. Been here three years and never seen one (newbury) any idea why they have just arrived and in force?
  17. They came back to our barn Saturday. Had to put the sheets over everything early to stop the mess getting every where.
  18. What about using a bow? That would be quiet and not scare the pigeons,,,,,, ;-)
  19. Don't joke guys , this is getting really common, I was mugged by a field mouse outside aldi last week, took my jaffas!
  20. How much traffic is on the footpath? Is it near houses? Can not see a pic but my general rule is does it feel safe to shoot. If in doubt don't. Number 6 can travel over 300 yards so a long way
  21. Why buy short stoch? Just get a full length then cut it down in 1" strips till the right size, as he grows add the strips one at a time. Just a thought.
  22. Lenser, truly brilliant bit of kit. Enough said.
  23. I have a single to double in my lounge and a double in the kitchen, single to double gives off a massive amount of heat through the flue and the single section is black then the double is stainless and looks fine to me.
  24. I used these guys once. Useless to the point of nearly taking to court so hope your luck is better.
  25. Take a punt and go back with a bottle of something and appolphise for upsetting him then leave, might not work but then again it might and for the cost of a bottle could be worth it.
