  1. Just been out walking my dog with my mate who’s a inspector in organised crime and said what would happen if someone did this to a dog attacking and killing your own dog he said you can’t carry a knife on the off chance you may need it to defend your dog, but also said he would do the same and take his chance and say he’s just been stalking and forgot it was in his pocket..
  2. I’ve walked out of parks when I’ve seen big dogs off a leads barking at other dogs just not worth the hassle..it’s why I live next to saddleworth moor.. loads of walks and no idiots with status dogs running wild..
  3. My question is how can this be stopped, it’s why I carry a small stick around now when I walk my dog, I’ll batter any dog if it got hold of mine like these two did.. the footage on the internet is beyond words, the poor woman begging him to call his dogs off and he just walks away..let’s hope he gets some jail time but I doubt it.
  4. http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/he-most-beautiful-boy-owners-13941348#ICID=ios_MENNewsApp_AppShare_Click_Other just seen this on the MEN news and the daily mail..poor dog and it’s owners.. small dogs don’t stand a chance from these out of control dogs.. just horrific.
  5. Used them twice both times disappointed won’t use them again.. my friends say the same..at least 6 of us won’t use them now after all receiving poor treatment..
  6. I’m working Xmas eve,Xmas day and Boxing Day all 12 hour shifts so Christmas is not happening for me, my Mrs is off to Elgin with her family so I’m home alone.. but we’re going to New York for a few days in feb as our own little Xmas treat..
  7. I’ve shot loads of foxes as they have made there way thru sheep, as dougy says they mostly just stare at the fox but I have seen sheep spooked by foxes and all run, it only takes one sheep to run and the rest follow..
  8. Don’t get me started with dogs at the moment, my fox terrier was bitten last week whilst on the lead by a black lab off his lead, after I drove my feet into the lab the owner then praised the dog for biting mine...and said how bad my dog was for needing to be on a lead, the last two occasions of my dog being bitten/attacked have been by women in there 60s with large dogs off leads... it’s as if they own the place and think they can do what they want, with out a care in the world..
  9. I live in saddleworth, great area but will always be tainted with what happened all those years ago..
  10. I was at Bolton Abby on Sunday with the dog, love it there, had lunch at the Devonshire pub, great few hours..also robinhoods bay/Whitby on a frosty morning is worth a trip, fish and chips at the magpie cafe...
  11. Ive shot all of my rifles in, my 6.5 shoots amazingly so does my 243.. Just gives me more confidence when in the field stalking
  12. Your only human... Nothing wrong in having a cheeky smile, just dont play away from home if your married..
  13. I started with a 8x56 Schmidt but as I shoot a few farms I needed a little extra mag for longer shots..so went 3-9x56 Just a personal preference tho... but you wont go far wrong with a 8x56 Schmidt and if you look after it you will not loose and value if you decide to sell it on..

  17. Its for these type of comments you were binned of the stalking directory..most of your comments read like your looking for either a argument or pity..
  18. Afternoon all, So after much debating and research we have decided to get another dog, we have decided on a Vizsla as a all rounder for both stalking and rough shooting, my problem is we already have a 11 year old wire fox terrier who is all but retired from the field, he just like to plod around the back of the beaters really..my concern is how do we introduce him to our home without making the fox terrier feel pushed out..Im worried the older dog may get upset if he sees the new puppy get more attention maybe.. Im still going to show Archie all the attention he wants and would never push him away to favour a new pup..but obviarsely the new dog will need training and time spending with him..any ideas? Im hoping the older dog will just accept the new dog and they will just fool about together in the house and on walks..but as Archie has been my companion for 11 years I just dont want him to feel hes being replaced..or am I just being soft??
