    ROLEX DATEJUST

    Must be something wrong
  2. A lovely 1991 Rolex Datejust. Hardly worn from new, this watch came out of someones collection so has never been re polished or the strap adjusted. Keeps excellent time and comes with the two original boxes and some paperwork. I obviously cant post this so got to be a FTF. I can provide as many photos as is needed, Price is a£4,500 Quite a few around at this price but hardly any in this condition. Thanks for looking and no silly offers or swops please.
  3. Yep I can see that. I have just recently been on several comparison sites and nearly all the lowest quotes are similar and around £1400 so I suppose I should be glad my renewal price is only £900 one company even refused to insure me due to my age.

    Double glazing

Hi anyone know please. Is BLACK the "in" colour for double glazing? My " everything has to be "in" neighbour has just had new double glazing. The old stuff is only 10 or so years old, and it's in BLACK. It looks awful with white cladding on the front of the house. They even have a lock down dog cos it was the thing to do. The house looks as if the Munsters live there.
  6. Someone please tell me why my insurance has bounced up from £600 last year to £980 this year with no apology or explanation! Thats just taking the "P".
  7. Wifey and i bot have ours No effect at all, never is!
  8. I would think bare finger is best with a rifle but certainly thin leather gloves with a shotgun.
  9. I have a Combro and a Hawke 600 for the bring and buy stall.
  10. Cotswolds is beautiful but just too commercial now.
  11. Fine I read and understand the comments but still I need explaining. On a peg obviously shooting to the front with other guns either side. Barrels down and close the gun wood to metal as one should. DO YOU NOT THEN SWING THE GUN THROUGH THE BEATERS allbeit with the safety on of course and your thumb sliding it off? One of the stands at the clay ground I use shoots over water and the far bank is 120 yards away the disturbance as the shot hits the water near the far bank is serious. I would not like to be in the way. Or are the beaters always further away than this.
  12. neighbours either side only, ! keep a low profile.
  13. Thank you LB on advice on closing my gun. I did think that was the approved way but I find it difficult to do this in an enclosed cage at my clay ground. What I do wonder is when game shooting and closing a gun in this way, surely you then swing the loaded gun up "safety on of course" Through the line of beaters! Are the beaters always several hundred yards away and safe?
  14. I look forward to that thread. As a comparatively new shotgun shooter. "compared to some" I would seriously like to hear why you do need a safety at all when shooting clays which is what I do. also I picked up a comment about gun mount. lets have a few words on this please. I do shoot gun down but that's just me so how am I closing my gun incorrectly? I have my handbag ready.
  15. I am always amazed at the price of oil when we go to Canada, compared to ours over here. And a lot of it is the same oil in similar cans. Only difference is the spec on the reverse of the can is in French. OK Mr Nobody what would the cost be to you for 5 ltrs or one gallon of fully synthetic car oil please.
  16. I grow old! Visited my son the other night. Reversing away from his house I heard a crunch. Wife said she noticed a small tree branch at the exit to his drive. Thinking that's what the noise must be I continued to reverse Noise got worse so I hopped out to have a look. it was dark and raining but there under my back wheel was the rear wheel arch liner crushed to death. Chucked it in the boot after driving forward to release it Swore all the way home and worried all night. Next morning went out to investigate the damage and JOY it's not my liner!!! There had been an accident outside my sons house and someone had chucked the liner away. Amazed I didn't see it on the way in.
  17. My last two cars had the under engine cover which needed to be removed to get at the oil filter, so once you have got this off you might as well drain the oil by removing the sump plug. If you have a boat with an inboard engine YOU HAVE TO use the suction method to remove oil.
  18. The Kranks ZLOTY STOK looks the best buy.
  19. Wow glad I stocked up last year. I will have to stop giving cartridges away.😁
  20. Why cant you make up some cartridges with swiss? I have a shed load of black from Kranks but owing to the difficulty of getting it I am hanging on to it. I find no-one will deliver the stuff.
