My son has recently sent off his SGC "Notts" for a change of address. He has been told they will return his new modified cert when they have photographic proof that his new house is fitted with an alarm system and a video doorbell. Anyone else getting this? His move is to an almost identical house in the same area as his old one.

Hi. Just had my home insurance renewal reminder and they have ben generous "their words" AND INCLUDED AUTO RENEWAL. IF THEY DONT HEAR FROM ME THE POLICY WILL AUTO RENEW. This is a thing I never do and just cant see how they can do this without my permission. Also the premium has increased by a massive £90. I will sort it but what a liberty. The AA tried this on many years ago and caused a hassle. Why cant life be simple again?

Take it off and get a professional to do it. As I see it a frame must be welded up to support the tube then pressed out with an hydraulic press. Not going to be cheap.

Yep. 400 is single shot although you can fit a magazine but it's not self indexing. You have to rotate it by hand. I do believe the 400 was a favourite with bench rest shooters due to it's accuracy and ability to easily change barrels.

Anyone go to this air display at Church Fenton yesterday? Wonderful day out and well worth the 80 mile drive Dozens of WW2 military airplanes both on display and flying. Highlight of our day was a low flypast in formation and display by seven spitfires. "lovely sound" Also a display by a highly polished B25 and a lightning. Lots of noise. Day was marred by a couple of bad storms with horizontal rain and thunder and lightning which means stuck out on an airfield you get very wet. Car parking was all hard standing for several thousand cars and all very well organized. Will go again if I am still here.

Oh dear Oh dear. What a sorry mess but I was motoring when if your car even got to 40.000 you were lucky, they either rusted away or you had it in for a rebore new pistons and big end shells after enjoying miles and miles of 30/40 bhp motoring. My last two motors did well over 100.000 without bother.
