  1. Just keep the noise down please, i'm on nights
  2. Its a difficult one on some permissions if you choose not to shoot them due to ethics then you stand a chance landowners will be getting someone else to. And loose that permission quite easily, and possibly your FAC. Some see starvation as a cruel way to die but then we seem to see it as an acceptable practice in health care nearly every day.
  3. Nice one Looks like a Sako & Sonic Mod what do you think of the Mod ? It was a long wait to get the result, looks like she was full and near to drop.
  4. No doubt someone will make a packet on a government controlled cull.
  5. Thats a good size What caliber
  6. I must have missed that, which one was supposed to be an Otter
  7. I have a squirrel bronze plack house number, and once they knocked on my door and commented on me being an animal lover i looked at the plack and said "Ive shot loads this year" his face was a picture Needless to say he didnt get any money from me either
  8. Will an over size neck fit in a chamber
  9. Just read through a few posts on the sausage making threads, as all ready said on here, skins should be kept salted buried in the salt, not like its expensive. Freezing needs to be avoided it doesn't have any benefits against salting in fact the opposite. Try and put you meat in the freezer to the point of it becoming firm, you water should also be icy cold. Basically all the equipment including the meat should be as cold as possible, its to avoid bacteria cultures starting, and you wont normally use preservatives.
  10. 50% venison 50% good fatty belly pork 7% rusk 7% red wine. seasoning mix of which you use 2% or less 80 % salt 5.5 % black pepper 3 % nutmeg 3 % thyme 3 % white pepper Garlic to taste Mango and chili work well together, the sweetness of the mango and the fire of the chili's, the red wine adds a richness to the mix. Use hog casings and not lambs/sheep's, the hog casing will be much easier to fill, you will split the lambs very easily. Unless its a wet mix
  11. Hurt myself laughing well funny the leopard was the best.

    **** service

If you're not happy with delivery times, specially if they promised a delivery date then you are within your rights to cancel your order. Regardless of there excuses, they have a contract with you to deliver as they say. Its up to the buyer's to take the false promises on the chin and put up with it or tell the company to shove the order and get a refund. They either want your money's or they don't, simples. Would you expect the same service from Currys or Tescos
  13. If you search on the www for "parallax" thats l x2 and "a" not "e": You will understand a little more. Wikipedia have a simple explanation.
  14. The bearings have worn out on the barrow and the SS spade is now my mole spike its had that much use. lol I use my tool's (all of them) as often as I can, ide be out later but got a darts match.
  15. Check out rimfire central, there's loads of really interesting stuff on there that will give you loads to think about and save you loads of money, you'll spend more time on there than you will out in the field shooting. There's mention of "Torque settings" "Bolt shims" "Triggers" "Rim thickness gauges" Oh! There's loads you'll love it, fill ya boots, ;-)
  16. I've looked down all my rifles barrels at some point in time mostly checking there's no bit's left up there after cleaning, but either I need to go to opticians or you have a myopic eye, there's no way in a world of pigs puddin I could see a crack that far down the barrel It's certainly a concern though.
  17. Yes, heard something but you really should spend more time shooting it and less time worrying. Just do them up tight and leave. ;-)
  18. It depends on a couple of things really, budget and choice. I went for choice and have Red,Green,Yellow and IR dont ask me which is better that the other colour wise i could not give an honest answer. Ive taken Fox out to around 200yards with Green and Yellow, red around 150yards . Rabbits to over 200yards with Yellow and Green allot less with red.
  19. I would have given a sensible reply but after seeing previous post i find it impossible. A few old shotties laid out on show together with some knifes that seem to belong in a walter cartoon comic for ninja turtles, then a request for a big game cal, sorry it just seems a load of nonsense.
  20. Maybe not Kent, no body knows how sensitive there noses are, but as i said "i'm happy" It was a tongue in cheek comment hence the flatulance comment. But thanks for the education were would we be Aye ? still be digging pits for them to fall in or throwing stones at them The last 12 or so ive shot there was no wiff of horse hoof at all, and as usual i was 99% sure i had trumped while out shooting.
  21. Give it a good clean with petrol ensure there's no carp in the oil feed hole, the dust and oil become compact, as you say the pumps ok so it's got to be a blockage. ?
  22. Just be careful picking up logs on my permissions, now and again I get caught short. A couple of years ago a fairly large branch broke of an oak blocking the road a few cars were trying to squeeze by, just by chance I had the chain saw in the back of the pickup, shortly after the back was full. I looked at it as a public service. ;-)

    Lambing live

She did say tongue in cheek about being a sheep farmer, and commented regarding bottle feeding not being ideal for others. It may not show all the gore that you see, but what it will show is that lamb for the table is not cultivated in plastic containers. I say its good, a load better than get me out of the jungle, or ice skating stuff.
  24. Couldn't help chuckle watching that, I was in the mind of your springer for a few moments, " what on earth is he up to now ? I'm getting the vet to him when he gets home"
  25. I got 2. No issue's with flo, actually liked the idea.
