I had one coming into the call from directly in front of me, it was seen coming in to the field over 200yds away through a hedge, coming in on a direct line, i mounted the archer onto the back of the scope switched on the 2nd NM800 and tracked it coming closer and closer, i kept thinking "no need to rush the shot"---- "main centre mass" "cant miss, wait,,,, wait,,,,wait" it came to a barbed wire fence, ducked under (by this time it was only around 60yds if that) and stood front on, i was well above 3 large bails high. could believe i missed,,,, well gutted. no chance of another shot it retreated pretty quick on a different line behind a tree. 15 minutes later another appeared, this had to be a different fox because of the direction it came from, it liked the call too but it took an instant dislike to a 53grn vmax that this time did connect. One of those things i suppose ill never know why i missed.

original post doesn't mention the Z6i just the Z6, I've pushed my scope ( leupold vx3 4-14x50 )as far forward as possible and to be really honest it doesn't bother me that much re eye relief etc. Distant wise as said with the illumination you will see shootable fox size target's at over 200 easily. Mind you saying that I missed a sitter last night at about 60yds if that. But shortly nobbled another at 75yds, just one of those things.

What sort of accuracy do the armed response work on There's allot of folk on here that are very accurate shots with there rifles, (including me ;-) ) Just wondering, we know that we can take a knats testicle off at 200mtrs, I, m not saying that we could jump in the boots vof SO19 so please don't start. But surely with the training the armed response supposedly get why can they not disable the target with a well placed shot, not as they do at the moment a fatal shot or multiple, then find out after they fluffed up.

Sparky, can't you just work it out on paper over ranges 100 to 300 in 50 yrd increments. Measure average drop, you have access to 2 chronographs so you can cross check velocity and get a correct BC for you bullet.

tin hat on. Shot about 1/2 a dozen over a couple of months with a R7 at 33ftlb all from around 20yrds, head shot only. some years ago BUT---- would i do it again no !!! I now have tools more suitable for the job
