  1. How much do you need to open it up by ? you could use sand paper on a dowel or similar. The only reason for the bushing is to prevent excessive pressure on the thread if knocked and to guide onto the thread, and if your concerned about rub marks on the barrel wrap a layer of insulation tape round the barrel where it rubs.
  2. I made a load of Pheasant, Duck and Pork sausage rolls last year with Mango and some with Cranberries they where a keen favourite at the Christmas shoot. There were soon gone.
  3. When i was at school i did "O" Level cookery, the intention was to go into the catering business in one way or another. Cutting the story short i took a slightly different road, being told by some very nice teachers at the time "you will never get a job" Not the best encouragement for a young lad. I dont do anything now like i used to do.
  4. Being as there seems to be an interest in PW dining habits i thought i'd add one. I knocked up a few burgers last Sunday (152 6oz) so thought we would sample a couple tonight. Its a Venison (munty)and Juniper mix that i add red wind and cranberries to, very tasty.
  5. Looks good to me, you've got the Ketchup bottle upside-down, they put the label on that way to give you a clue. 👍
  6. I think its fair to say the humour seems scarcer but then Aimee comes in with her quirky silly comments that make me laugh. For me its these moments that i keep watching it for. But then 99% of the time i'm watching on my laptop with head phones on while Mrs D is watching her soaps and dancing comps. I'm on episode 7 of series 4 so just about all watched now.
  7. Im still on sex-education. But might start on this one after.
  8. I had an evening out in a high seat and ended up in a local, having a social chat with one of the locals and he was on about these chemicals dropped on us by the government. I immediately assumed he'd had far too much to drink and buried my head in my mobile, so its all true then is it

I don't like Pink. Lol No, I don't know. 👍 but by going on the trailers I've seen its not for me.

Er no I'm assuming you took your kids ? not my cupa tea. did watch Burial on amazon Friday night though. Very good watch..
  11. Exactly this. Different name for a loan based on the cost of your property. Interest rate is astronomical. Looked into this. No family and no friends to leave anything to and taken advice from financial advisors was, as a last resort and leave as long as you can if you do decide to do it. When I've gone, If anyone wants my primers and powder stash join the queue.
  12. Plain and simple Beanz on toast, i did add more brown sauce after, and no white toast in the cupboard. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
  13. Got in from work and Mrs had Great british Bake off on, if this was presented on there would defo win star baker with that, and a hand shake from wots is name. And top marks for choice of condiments 👍
  14. I'm not going to pick fault with it but ! Mrs Dougy is not allowed to do my Beanz on toast, she's just not the experience. its got to be 4 rounds of toast, preferably white bread, once toasted buttered ASAP so the butter melts in, then cut in half and placed on a large dinner plate plaited or placed diagonally. 1/2 a round left and placed on the side for later. Beanz heated in a pan and poured over the toast covering as much as possible, a really good helping of HP brown sauce all over, use the 1/2 round to wipe round the pan, folded in half and sampled prior to diving into the feast. I'm tempted to have a plate full tomorrow if only to put a pic on here. 👍
  15. I'd been going to the Midland for a tad over 5 year's. Nearer 30 year's csmped for many of those too. Paid for showers that didn't work, entertainment that was in the end nothing more than a karaoke. No chance of an apology let alone a refund.
  16. Footbridge support. I think I've seen similar.
  17. The most dangerous thing i did was to attend chemistry lessons at school, and add that to a mind that's extremely inquisitive and does the opposite to being told what not to do. Another interesting thing we used to make was hydrogen by dissolving zinc in sulphuric acid.
  18. You could put a thread on scaffold poles and get a screw on end cap. Not going into too much detail but, it was very naughty what we made with them.
  19. I lit a fire down the bottom of the garden. Some bloke came out from a house behind me moaning the smoke was going into his house.. I very thoughtfully suggested he closed his windows. I think I can fairly say he got hotter than my bonfire..
  20. Toasted Crumpet, cheese and a dribbling of HP brown sauce. Dont dislike what you have on the plate but, i'd have the bacon & mushrooms in a cob with a runny fried egg in. With the Crumpets a different day 👍 Incidentally we call them Crimplets in our house, its a kind of cross between Pikelets and Crumpets. I think its a regional thing with pikleets and crumpets.
  21. The village (now a rather larger one)i live in, worked in as a butcher and occasionally drink in most of the old timers know or have an idea i shoot. The local pubs 100% definitely know, customers from the butchers knew i shot. Couldn't give a monkeys if folk found out and didnt agree.

    Honey Comb

    Honey Comb

Someone gave me about a kg of honey with the comb last week and we didint like chewing on the comb all day so i placed it all in a cullender and strained the honey into a jar. Not wanting to waste the honey comb i though i would put it out for the butterfly's and moths. And you would not believe what its attracted Just walked past it and its moving What you see in the image is about 25% of the bees that where there before i smoked them with some carboard i was burning. Have i created a no go zone in my own garden, will they move on or do i need to contact a local bee keeper ?
