  1. atkin Grant and Lang advertise an all in price of £165 I think. This includes a bit of time on the clay ground to check the fit. I haven't used them and have no connection with them. Hope it helps, David.
  2. Chains come in a number of sizes, the very narrow "pica" chain is made by husky for the smaller saw as ath narrower cut make it cut fast for the size of engine. They have a special bar and sprocket. Generally though oregon, husky and stihl chains are interchangeable as long as you get the right spec. This is often stamped on all the drive links. David.
  3. Put it on autotrader or something like that and see what happens. Just a mobile number to keep the light fingered away. David.
  4. BASC have information on trapping them. Why don't you give them a call. They are best got rid of though. David.
  5. Benelli are good and they do make proper left handed versions. David.
  6. The trouble with young people and this sort of stuff is that although I accept they can be well trained and responsible and I am sure the people posting are, if there is an accident (and they do happen) the world is going to fall on the head of the responsible adult. I wouldn't like it to be me!! David.
  7. Husky is my choice, but some people swear by Stihl and I am sure they are very good too. Get qualified and the right safety kit as well. They are not toys. David.
  8. I was always under the impression that the real reason for using double base powders was that they performed better at the extremes of temperature. May have got it all wrong though. David.
  9. That is really beautiful. David.
  10. I use neoprene chest waders and an army cammo goretex top. The top is light but big so I can layer underneath it. David.
  11. I store a pump and semi with flags in the breech. They are stored muzzle up because they are synthetic stocks. If they were wood stocks I would put them muzzle down which is what I do with my O/Us. I do ease the mainsprings on the break action jobs but not on the others because the flags don't allow me to. David.
  12. Quite few centre fire rifles with big recoil have recoil arrestor studs fitted as well. David.

MX5? Reliable and fun to drive. David.
  14. Perhaps they are just being more accurate in their claims now! David.
  15. Good point. Did it that way. David.
  16. Wish it wasn't so far away. I would love to try helice even though I fear I would probably be humiliated!!! David.
  17. Some people shout because they are wearing ear muffs and as result are fairly deaf! Usually just asking nicely for people to keep it down helps. David.
  18. I would go for the Suzuki. I suppose a Jimny is out of the question because they are reliable and you might get better condition for the money. Good luck, David.
  19. One of the real problems is the fact that "the evidence gatherers" shouldn't be "the prosecutors" ther is no balance or is it in the public interest there. David.
  20. Would have thought the five door new shape Vitara worth a look. Low ratio and diff lock on the diesel and bigger petrol engine. Suzukis got a very good reliability record. David.
  21. Got to admit, I would really like a BPS but can't justify it!! David.
  22. Have a look at the Benelli supernova pump. One in my cabinet at the moment, Really good build quality. David.
  23. Got five and a hard case with mine, and it is an 05 one. Very reliable. Chokes were/are cyl, imp cyl, mod, imp mod and full. David.
