  1. Cumberland, Northumberland, venison, pork, beef, wild boar pork and leek our local butcher has at least this range full time and all absolutely delicious. Blackpowder
  2. A , "Dirty Harry" magnum whatever that was, I had an aquaintance who was heavily into handguns in pre Dunblane days. What I recall of the event it certainly was not a hand gun to shoot single handed. On the other hand it was fun playing cowboys with this guys .38 cal revolver. I might add all this took place on a private range. Blackpowder
  3. If you are hungry enough Blackpowder
  4. First step check that tap and ballvalve washers are in good shape, a split washer can create water hammer. Next look for any pipes which are loose near the appliances and clip them up. Good luck. Blackpowder
  5. Politicians if they are ever in season Blackpowder
  6. Now that is a car with STYLE. Although would prefer the XK150 fixed head Blackpowder
  7. As the title says I am looking for a real reel mechanic to carry out a minor repair on an okuma NitryX x150 bait casting multiplier reel. The vendor from evil bay is not interested by the way when he was contacted when the reel was less than a year old. Everything about the reel is working fine -- except the level wind. Here I can see the problem lies in the small nylon or plastic gear cog which drives the metal cog on the level wind. The nylon cog is worn through misuse rather than use and requires a further dismantling of the reel via two screws before it can be accessed. Help Blackpowder
  8. It sounds to me as if your boiler pressure is acting as it should. That is it is increasing when the temperature increases and the system water expands. Check your owners manual if you are worried about the pressure within the expansion vessel as this usually has a schnider valve and can be checked with a tyre pressure guage. Blackpowder
  9. It all depends on the temperature as others have said already, one day might be to long in muggy early november weather, whereas during the weather we had in January past a bird hung for three weeks would not be objectional. Blackpowder
  10. Try a forum called Derelict Places , Ive seen a few on that. Blackpowder

  14. None! I pass any which come my way to people who are into that kind of thing. An woman worthy of the title will tell you that they prefer the raw smell of manhood to anything out of a bottle Blackpowder
  15. But will they? As I see it there are two seperate guilty parties here, one of course are the perpetrators of this groundless senseless murder. Then equally guilty are the mealy mouthed politicians who refuse to0 re-create a punishment fit for a crime like this; in other words the death penalty. Very sad indeed and deepest sympathy to all his friends and family. Blackpowder
  16. I see a farmer from Robertsbridge in East Sussex has been killed by a burglars getaway car while tryin to stop thives leaving his property. was he known to any forum members? Blackpowder

  18. I use a caller ID telephone mainly so as that I can phone back potential customers who have rang when I am out. On Friday there was this number 01234567890, no kidding. Lift the phone with this number displayed and it is dialled automatically, of course the robot voice told me the number had not been recognised. Anyone else ever came across a non exiostant number when using caller ID. Blackpowder
  19. DONT DO IT. The witches and warlocks will descend en mass upon your head, leave well alone, clean your gutters out its only a bungalow. Blackpowder
  20. It was the cold in winter, frost patterns on the windows one cold tap in the kitchen. Here my Gran cooked up astounding good meals on a two burner parrafin cooker, also some cooking was done on the open range in the living room. We had pigs, hens and a cow, home cured bacon cant forget the taste nothing else compares. Vegetables from the garden were great fresh picked or fresh dug along with a harvest field roast rabbit. No fridge or freezer but lots of wild fruit were bottlerd in Kilner jars or made into jam or jelly. Not forgetting the inner thighs being red raw in frosty weather where the tweed or flannel shorts chaffed. Ug, give me today with central heating and LONG TROUSERS for the winter. Blackpowder
  21. Our local baker makes them, fresh from the oven and bursting with filling I always have one along with a flask of coffess between drives on our club shoot. Blackpowder
  22. Many years ago I recall reading about the monster brown trout in the Thames weirpools, are that still a fact of life? As I recall it seemed to be a pretty specialised branch of angling and required a lot of dedication for it to be successful. Blackpowder
  23. Im with you madam S. Salads and stirfrys and such like are fine for the 3 days of summer but give3 me good old british stodge for the rest of the year. Blackpowder
  24. As I see it both parties are in the wrong, one for trespassing and the second for assault and in a fair country both should be subject to the due process of law. Yes it is easy to talk, but we do not know what problems the farmer in question has had in the past with theft and trespass, so passing judgement with evidence by hearsay id totally unproductive.
