  1. I wouldn't sell or swap my 20g Hushpower for a. 410, having had a 410 previously.
  2. 443 1 large CC that was pushing its luck on a mobile phone mast outside my office window.
  3. I never use my air rifles at anything more than 30 yrds and often only 20 yrds. They have a good stopping power. I only use 22.
  4. It does and I might get a chance with the rimfire this weekend, but I think I'll wait a while before I use the centrefire.
  5. I'm itching to try out my new bionic trigger finger!!
  6. Sounds like a great job. We have a great red squirrel officer in Lancs and Merseyside.
  7. Well done mate, see you're getting your practice in before Catton.
  8. My CZ doesn't mind what I feed it. Very accurate.
  9. Franchi AL. No problem and s/h £150. Good workhorse.
  10. Canadas pop up in large numbers and can damage crops and cause a health hazard, at any time of the year. Although the flocks may be 20 - 100+ you don't have to cull them all, they're pretty savvy. I find the best control is to snipe them on the ground with a rifle that makes a bang. Only need to do one or two and the rest take the hint and move on. Just make sure you have avian or ALQ on your ticket. I have walked up to a flock and taken three with my semi auto shotgun, the rest take off and find another patch which is safer. I find ground shooting is more of a deterant than flight shooting. Flight shooting they seem to come back quicker. IMO this is an ideal time to move them on as they are becoming territorial but they will not have young yet. Ideal time to move them on. Remember this is not wildfowling sport this is vermin control at this time of the year.
  11. Also useful for cleaning the Missus's rings. Earn yourself some Brownie points. Also if SWMBO can see a use saves a lot of agro.
  12. I have humane dispatch on my ticket. I agree shot placement is crucial. Between the eyes and aim down to the top vertebrae. Instant. If you're using a shotgun 12g 2-3 yrds aim back of the head top of the neck, side on.
