177 limited to lower ft lbs without going through the sound barrier,suffers from over penitration at fac and will not clean kill as well as a 22 fac. .22 can go 50 ft lbs of energy without breaking the sound barrier and due to greater surface area and better expansion kills alot cleaner . 177 is great as sub 12 and my pal swears buy them but at fac its out classed. just my 2p worth mike

i meant daystate in general pal all very good,i only regret that i had an early wolf and the barrel kept moving.cost me an arm and leg going to the factory ,sending scopes back ect.daystate allways denied a problem. since i have found outher people who had the same problem.daystate have the cheak to sell you the band to reinforce the barrel rather than send them out as an upgrade.that said the fact they now supply the bands is the only reason i have a ranger.very bad customer service to me and i have spent thousands with them.
