If I ask for expanding ammunition hollow point on my fac application in 22lr and 17hmr for rabbits, will that be the only ammunition I will be allowed to buy? It's my first application

No permission just targets thats all I want it for, though I do know someone with some land so I might ask for permission.

Thanks all who replied, looks like I'm sorting my SGC first then deal with the FAC later.

My SGC is up for renewal in 4 months but I'm tempted by a 22rf for target shooting but I'll have to become a member of a club. I've been going to Boar in Glossop to use my shotguns and air rifles on the ranges which is where I would want to use the 22rf. There are quite a few clubs about but I've read you have to have been a member of a club for 6 months before you can apply. I have a separate ammo safe and a gun safe that I could probably squeeze a rifle in so all that is taken care of. I'm stalled at how to proceed because 6 months will take me past my SGC renewal date. Anyone clarify things?

Some say clay cartridges work on pigeons too and they're cheep but I'm not speaking from experience as I only shoot clays

Unless you adjust some 2" 7 shot. pop the paper circle off empty em out and fill em with finer shot. I've been using them in my mossberg hushpower but sometimes one falls through the cartridge lifter and gets stuck

Fitted loads like that, bit fiddly but they do the job the ones I fitted had studs sticking out the back and you get a drilling template silicon em and bolt em on

Thanks for the tip, I'm in Huddersfield so it's over holme moss to get to the boar for me (at least its scenic) few miles further to sycamore but its probably worth a visit for something different.

Thinking of a 22lr semi auto for range shooting, had my SGC for 4 years and have a few shotguns. Been to a range and had a go of a 308 but that's too much really so I thought a 22lr would be cheap to run and buy. Thing is I've only been to the range at Boar over Glossop and I don't know if that is a range that I could get a fac for a 22lr for.

Mine had it a few years bought it before the prices went mad its brazilian last of the ypvs but better than nothing

New gun Another Mossberg pump to go with my 835 this one is a 500 .410 hushpower in wood that I bought on a whim first new gun in near 3 years. Been shooting targets like static clays must have put a couple of hundred through it so far a mix of 3 inch eley subsonic and Lyalvale Express magnasonic, 3 inch magnum, 2 and a half inch and 2 inch no ear protection necessary

I got some 12 to 410 from them, they took a while to ship as they have to get enough orders for the trip to the post office for international orders
