  1. I got 22lr quad, have had no probs at all ejecting, I have used Winchester, eley, cci all no probs.
  2. Tuff one... The people that do these jobs are basically criminals and it does take a special kind of ************ to do this for a living. But on the same token if you buy some thing you have to pay for it and there has to be some kind of enforcement or we the honest hard workers will end up paying like we do for most things.
  3. It's ok if you have a friend who will do a test and issue a cert, but a lot of sparks seem to refuse to test others work now,and a lot of them although qualified don't always have part P. I would be dubious with a council inspector the seem to like to find other probs apart from what they are there to test.
  4. I have a cheap as chips Tasco on my airifle, cost about 50 quid I think from eBay a few years back, it 6-24x50 with IR, never seems to lose zero and seems solid. I can't see the point in spending big money unless it's on some thing over 22lr.
  5. I buy my cordless power tools from over the drink and even with shipping and the nice bill the customs man sends me it still works out about 40% cheaper than buying here. I have found that makers warranties are usually country specific though.
  6. Steyr SSG 08 or Rangemaster would be my top choice, bit on the high priced side though. I am after a 308/7.62 for target as well, but can not chose. to many options out there.
  7. £1500 is cheap for conventional to combi change over. I have done a few for mates at that sort of price but generally £2k - £2.5 is about going rate if its all done properly. I would avoid potterton, even if they offer 5 or 7 year warranty, the after care service is appalling, its all done by a sub contractor so they just find excuses why the warranty is invalid. Go with worcester, valliant or ideal, worth the money all day long...

    iMac

I said I would never have an iPhone, now cant live without one. Said the same about Macbook pro, got one 6 months ago and wish i had one years ago. Now I have just ordered an iPad air and expect to be impressed with that soon too.. Apple stuff just seems to make sense to use somehow..
  9. Nice bit of kit, overpriced though...
  10. i had land cleared near maidstone a couple of months ago, it was about two to three weeks from phone call to visit.
  11. Whats the general opinion on the X bolt in 223?
  12. I have a female false widow living in my porch at the mo and have found one in my van. They seem to be very common round here now.
  13. VW are one of the most unreliable vehicles available. They have the worst customer after care of any make. I don't understand why people have these illusions of vw being reliable.
  14. My T5 Had head gasket fail at 90k was told by VW it was water pump then charged £350 for new water pump and then told it was head, this was after it had a new intercooler and radiator at a cost of £800 from VW. Then £750 to have head repaired Then the glow plugs stopped working which ended up needing a new wiring loom after VW changed plugs and relay. Now the injectors are failing. Never none such poor quality in a vehicle and i have had some rubbish before. VW dealers have real attitude problem now. They built a good rep and now starting to destroy it. i would rather have a horse and cart than ever own another vw.
  15. at the end of this marketing campaign they will be apparently taking orders to make your requested names over the net, according to my missus, who works for the coca cola regime.
  16. Admiral was over £170 cheaper if i left as an existing customer and started again as a new customer using the no claims i had with them. It was a further £300 cheaper when i added 3 named drivers on to my policy.Where is the sense?
  17. Thanks for the info, its good to hear a members review. Do they allow use of rifles or is it just shotguns
  18. I have been looking into this membership, how are you finding the shooting? would be very interested in hearing some sort of review.
