  1. Seems to me most folk know very little about anything. Just their own opinions Who cares about who paid Just saying like !!! They are all just (lucky) Humans. It's the way it is We can't change anything quickly?

    Myxi in hares

If RHD 2 disease is so new. (I only heard about it a couple of years ago However I haven't seen a Rabbit on my permission for a good few years ) How can it go from Southern England to Scotland so quickly? Just interested?
  3. Worth every penny. The cost is Peanuts in the scheme of things. Other countries would love what we have. Good luck to the couple. And God Save Our Queen.
  4. I was in Sainsbury's yesterday at the White Rose Centre in Leeds and amongst all of the Halloween rubbish I noticed full size, plastic, flocked Crows for £4 each They are very realistic. I don't know how long they will last but I bought £20 worth. Might be handy for others ?

    Stopping drinking

Just stop now. You can if you want to. I tried to stop smoking lots of times, but I didn't want to, so I kept starting again. When I wanted to stop, I did, never smoked since, six years ago I think. Dates are a let off, they mean you dont have to stop now. I stopped drinking for 12 months to loose weight a few years ago. That was my plan, so I did it. It was easy, I looked forward to my next drink in 12 months time. If I can do it, anyone can. ps I drink again but I'm lighter now and I only drink Friday and Saturday which is better for me. So stop this second.
  7. Its a slippery slope. Not long ago the protesters were at Ilkey Moor. Guess what doesn't happen there anymore. Bradford Council caved into them !
  8. My previous wife was a nurse, she told me brain dead people would be kept alive in I.C. to preserve all of the organs. I dont know for how long. When the Organs were needed, they were removed, without anaesthetic. But who really knows if the 'Brain Dead' body can or can not feel pain ? Quite a lot of Medical Staff refused to carry cards for this reason. This was in the 80's.

    Gun watch

Click the advanced button then click go to site anyway. I've done it for months. I've never had any problems.
  10. Plenty of Bumble Bees here, but no Honey Bees to be seen !
  11. I've just posted about this on another forum. As soon as we all are forced into electric cars, and they cant Tax us at the pumps. The Smart Meters will know when we are charging our car up and then we can be Taxed. We wont be able to travel for free or on the cheap, they need our Road Tax. Sorry our Tax. They have to be in control of our electricity if we all have electric cars. Think about it ?
  12. I think this will make Michael even more determined to get out there and try and catch Joeys record Its in his blood. Love it or hate it, Pure Road Racing is a massive thing. An incredible loss. RIP
  13. Sorry to butt in. But are refurbished phones worth the risk. I'm in the same position, my S4 mini has not got the memory or Hardware to manage modern apps. I've been looking at S6 or S7's but unsure what to do as they are still £150-£200 refurbished. And how does ebay sell brand new one's for under £200? I'm afraid of being ripped off.
  14. Slightly off but flying back from Barcelona on Monday I was so bored I switched on google maps on my phone and held it against the window. It quickly got a gps signal and when I zoomed out to 5 miles and more I could see exactly where we were. For years I'd thought The Bay of Biscay was the Channel, and we were just going slow ! On landing I zoomed to 500m and there was the runway on my phone at 150mph ! Wouldn't work on satellite but fine on default. Before the popcorn bags starts to rustle, I was in Flight Mode all of the time.
  15. Hello, had a tiny bump in the Supermarket car park yesterday. Small amount of paint and a small split in my rear bumper. Her 2009 plate Mondeo 118,000 miles, has some paint damage to the wheel arch and rear bumper. The bumper has torn from its mounting. Websites put her car being worth £1500-£2000 She drove past me as I was reversing out of a parking space. These things happen I suppose. I suggested I would pay for her repair to save both of our no claims etc. She has posted me a quote from a Ford Dealer for £784 I'm astonished at the amount, my bumper will cost £200 ish to fill and paint.(Vauxhall Insignia). I have no no claims cover, since I have never had an accident in a car, ever. How much will my insurance change if I go through this channel? A couple of hundred quid extra for a year or two or loads for 5 years? Does anyone have any experience of this. I'll ring the woman tonight and see if she'll get a quote from an independent bodyshop, I dont think she realises that her premium will go up as well. Knock for knock car park bump I would think. Should I offer her £500 cash and ask for a disclaimer? Any advice is welcome, thanks. I've put this on another forum as well as I'm running out of time on this
  16. Yes we have its Unbelievable! However once you've parked its a nightmare to walk in and out. One tiny service road used by people , bikes, cars and wagons. Its a most beautiful place, like a nature reserve, in fact I flushed out a Roe Deer in some long grass amonst 120,000 people, oh and a Hare ran on the track during Moto 2. They were talking of changing the access road. We stayed in a mountain village overlooking Florence, need a car though. It is a must, but take ear plugs, there are Chain Saws going 24/7. We managed to visit Rossi's village, Tuvelia. And then, the next day, Marco Simoncelli's Museum over the road from his Graveyard. Somber, but well worth half a day if you follow racing. And no bad food for a week !
  17. We've just got back from Barcelona and the Catalonia Moto GP. Done lots of GP's but 3 times to Barcelona track. In the Rossi stands 6 corners to look at. Crutchlow crashed in Qualifying right in front of us at turn 13, but got a superb 4th place in the race. Its something you have to do at least once. Fastest men in the World, on the fastest machines in the World. As already said I wish I'd seen a Grand Prix a few years ago before it all changed.

    Plum Tree

We have 3 in the front garden every year fruit dripping from the branches. Everyone takes some. Really tasty they are. This year, nothing, everything seems to have dried up and rotted off ? No idea why, nature has its own ways I guess.
  19. Not so sure about snobbery, I have 3 pairs of Loakes Boots. Probably about £200 a pair, but my favourite and oldest pair are still super comfortable, dry and look ok. So they are a little like 'Triggers Brush' as in having a few soles and many many heels but they ooze quality and craftsmanship. I am certainly not rich, maybe only just comfortable now the kids have ******** off. But even a lottery win wouldn't allow my head to spend more than £200 on footwear. However my other half would just laugh at that !
  20. I'm now guessing that in my 'Blind panic of Have to have it mode' Ive heard, and read the bloody name wrong. ****** ! Nice while it lasted. Anothe bite out of Lifes **** Sandwich.
  21. Thanks Feltwad. Pretty sure this gun says Henderson of Malton. I've googled but found nothing. Scottish makes sense, I come from Newcastle and my family tree goes upriver to Northumberland and then to Scotland.
  22. Mr William Evans Guns hold some very high prices, and some are very nice Guns. Some beautiful Sidelocks are out there, on par with the best of English Guns. To the other question. No.
  23. Anyone ever heard of one ? Guy at my shoot this morning turned up with one, Quite beautiful (my surname is Henderson, cough, cough). He didnt shoot too well with it so I asked him how much it cost. Not trying to give too much away and doubling the price of the Gun. £500 he told me, which I thought was very little for such an old and very pretty Gun. I am now waiting, quietly, for what might be a long time. I really have to have it in my cabinet, if not to use, just so my Sons get to see it when I'm gone. Anyone else found a Namesake ? Mr Boss or Mr Purdey out there ?
  24. I think these smart meters will know when we are charging our cars with domestic power in the future. So the Government can bang on extra tax for Road/Car Tax. And if you cant pay, they'll switch you off without knocking on your door. Why else would they do all this for free ? Come on its Free, we all know nothing is Free !
