Practical fishkeeping is alright, ultimate reef is very good. Beware they are generally very expensive, quite fragile if it's a reef or certain species of fish, and quite addictive. I have a 320l custom reef but after a few days of high heat the temperature increased by 8F and everything went south. Problem with fragile things like these is that in livestock they're the same cost again to replace, which is a lot if you've invested over time in a nice system. The most important thing to do is to get it right from the start, if you begin half hearted, not keeping on top of water changes etc the tank cannot be successful.

Odd that a video showing what I assume to be humane rabbit kills is warned while a video of people shooting hogs from a heli with a shotgun, taking more than 4 shots to kill on occasion is allowed?

I reckon if you had said you might return fire their response time would have been much quicker, but would that then be a breach of some sort of law even if you didn't adhere to your promise? -
Ever get the feeling you are being watched?

was out night fishing once with a mate and we could see a torch outside our tent shining round and then focusing on us, then some footsteps getting nearer and nothing. We waited a while and then I said it im going outside. So with head torches and a frying pan we ventured out towards my friend's dad and his mate on the other side of the lake. Halfway round his dad's mate jumps out from a bush and I accidentally hit my mate with the frying pan...he was fine but when we asked the dad's mate if he'd been round our end of the lake he said no, he'd thought of scaring us when he heard us coming round.... -

I got my spinning rod from decathlon for £40 rod and reel and it has been pretty good considering. Landed my pb pike on it (17lb) and used in both salt and fresh. Says it's good to cast up to 50g I think but with care you can cast triple that, but not quite as far.

also when snagged in waterplants I find braid helps to cut through them quite well, or just uproot them! Don't know if it's been mentioned but it's also a good idea to replace the trebles that come on the lure with better quality, especially if the lures are cheap
