    Badenoch

Does she sound like someone who can unite the party and reach agreement on the way forward for the party. I think not. The Tories need a negotiator.
  2. 🤣 Of course the worker will but their large family won't. Dependent parents, family they care for, how many children 🤣 We knew exactly what we were voting for 🤣. With you on the training. I cannot understand why we are not offering free uni education for stuff related to AI.
  3. They pale into insignificance given the family members we are importing on the back of the work visa's that we are issuing to Nigeria, India and Pakistan. Unlike euro labour these people are very unlikely to go back anytime soon.
  4. If you accept that we are short of something like 3m workers then the NI changes should drive productivity moving away from the dependency on low skilled workers. Some would argue that the gap between rich and poor is a measure of the financial success of an economy.
  5. Lets hope not. 🙂 We were up a creek with the Tories with no idea where we were going. The economy is a ball of chalk kicked in the nether regions by covid and then urinated on by the Brexiteers. it's clear that Labour are far far from perfect but they do have a plan. It's a lot more than we had drifting down the pan. Fingers crossed.
  6. There is some suggestion that this offering may be a scam.
  7. The budget could have gone further for my liking. Particularly disappointing not to see 10p on fuel and a wealth tax of some sort. It will cost me an immediate £2.5k but its a small price to pay if it makes a difference.
  8. Bad move i reckon. Have we bought it back again? I saw recently a london vault for BoE with £30bn of gold and that was one of 7. Not all for UK mind. 🤣Spin, what ever you say 🤣 How do you want to account for it with inflation.
  9. Fine is $20,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 $20decillion As for the impact I am probably not the one to ask but afaik. Two years ago google pulled out after facing a fine of $300m for not blocking restricted content. Ever since then the quality of the service has been declining as it stopped maintaining its servers. As for the services I am far from an expert but monetisation of adds, maps and mapping services, youtube and gmail, much of which will be used by companies. Russia has it's own providers that are easier to control that it would prefer to be used across the country.
  10. Fine is in decillion never heard of it. They clearly want google out. I wonder if it works like that google being a lot more than just a search engine.

    Lamping

It's been a while since I had the lamp out but ^^^^ as @Scully says. I would add if it's rabbits and you want to cull them stay out and until they are cleared as they will get used to it. With all quarry they can learn association if they live long enough.
  12. That was bang out of order. Took me back to Prescott.
  13. Looks like you need to buy some extra carts 😁
  14. Crikey that's not what you expect.
  15. Wow. It's a bit rich to whinge about the property relief for farmers and at the same time celebrate the Brexit vote which was surely the biggest kick in the nether regions for farmers since foot and mouth? Every astute farmer I know with an asset over a £1m has the farm in a company structure so no gains to pay.
  16. I accept it's an uphill battle given the starting point. Never? During Tony Blair's 10 years as Prime Minister, the UK economy grew steadily, but not spectacularly. The UK economy grew at an average of 2.3% per year from 1997 to 2010, which was the longest uninterrupted period of growth in 200 years. Some factors that contributed to this growth include
  17. It's an unbelievable level of unavoidable borrowing. Unfortunately the debt was there even though the previous govt refused to see it. We don't have to put money into the NHS but I would hope to at least steady the problem asset for the short term. There is far more to the budget than investing in the NHS. Lets hope it works.
  18. ? You have lost me there. Is it my forecast? No. Do i have a better idea of How to forecast growth the the OBR? No. Do i think it was a good budget? Yes.
  19. At least they have let the OBR have sight and comment on the budget unlike previous.
  20. According to the OBR, the UK economy is predicted to grow 2% in 2025, 1.8% in 2026, before declining to 1.5% in 2027 and 2028. For 2029, real GDP growth is expected to slightly increase to 1.6%.
  21. If they do and i doubt it, it will because despite their best efforts they could not change the trajectory of the economy etched over the last 14 years. You don't run a country like a business look at the States. It is possible to grow a country out of debt with investment. What we have is a plan, we just have to hope it works.
  22. There was a mention of the covid fraud hunting team.
