  2. Thanks m8.This was just what i have been looking for and it will fit perfectly with a few woollies underneath moon flighting the pinks
  3. Try the 3" gamebore steel.the #1 .They pattern better in the 3" many feel than in 3.5".I agree with this i get far superior patterns and good clean kills with the 3" loads.Less recoil too!! Thats if i am not loading my own.My own #1shot 37g load will prove better i suspect

    hh decoys

Sorry been busy .They are rubber yes and old.feks sake my old man bought therm before i was born .early 1960-ish.they are collectors items so debating how effective they may be is for posterity rather than for actual usage. They were good decoys to use ,i used them regularly in the 80's but they are perishing in places so they are to be viewed as a piece of history rather than " lets shove a balloon in there and get to it".Would they still work,of course ,two of em are in bloody good nic with 2 wire cradles to hold the ballon in pplace.Ill rtry het pics when im not workinn but if noone wants em ill sell em on ebay

4 pigeon. 1 perished a bit but other 3 good.Plus one crow .slightly perished at tail.Bought 60 years ago by my dad in Selfridges ,London.Very very rare.Offers at least £10 each.
  7. Prices aint gone up-i bin after an aya 3" for a few months now and i believe that £300 for this gun is about right perhaps even too optimistic. To advertise a gun then come up with this " i might not sell " guff i find annoying.Either drop one or get of the pan
  8. Didnt know you went for muzzle loaders Bill?? Im after one myself to give it a bash.10 bore or 8 bore probably though to throw up a good volume of shot as the originals all have no choke to speak of
  9. I know a fella had hips done and i hear he's ok ,but may not be 100% for long walks etc,but then thats the case for all of us when we creep into the latter years of fowling i reckon.
  10. He was mentioning a Jack gates who used to have a cabin cruiser at Upchurch.Apparently my my dad got in the boat,my grandfather walked out of his wellies trying to get on board and after getting on board his gun went off and shot the oar off!.He said at the time foot and mouth was rife on the fields round the estuary. But that was before the major outbreak in the mid sixties
  11. He said to me earlier today there were only 10 members at that time.Nor marshes off of Gillingham he was warden on for a while.
  12. My old mans very old now. He's been up in Scotland since the early 60's.But before he left to persue keepering/stalking work he was one of the original handful of wildfowlers who met up on some pub to form KWA .It amuses me that i know this all to be true yet for some reason he is not mentioned in any of the historical statements regarding the club.Error or deliberate i could not say.He did say that some doctor and his wife were there etc on the night they all agreed the basics. He was a marsh warden for a while after that but my old man was also a prolific poacher and loved to wander the marshes back then.Im writing this post as id dearly love to get in contact with any of his surviving miscreants.Fred Williams was one i know of.But they were all rogues back then.used to take their guns to the cafe and "hang out" before riding up to the marshes for a day or nights fowling.Anyways Keith Bishop is his name.He was a fanatical duck shooter so im sure someone will remember him.He left Kent in 62-63 i'd guess. If anyone remembers him or can ask their dad if they remember him please get in touch. All he has now are memories and it would be great to get him in touch with his youth before its too late.He was from chatham btw.His haunts included Romney marshes but he wandered the whole coastline round the thames and the medway. This is him and my maw in the early 60's .Near some place called bluebell woods i think thanks, Allen.
  13. 3" or 23/4 ? im guessing 23/4 given barrel length
  14. Aye saw it,messaged the fella.Im not needing a s/s though.
  15. no rib, plain barreled wood stock.Message me if you have one.Used to use a savage that my dad owned when i was a teenager.First 12 i fired in fact. Also used a mossberg pump,Nostalgia buy i reckon.
  16. Good guns.I had a good few geese with mine last season.pointable, comfortable, handsome and versatile.

    Big Cat

feeble statements hamster very feeble.People who state they saw a large cat are not lacking in brain cells, they firmly believe, after watching what was in front of their eyes , that the animal was nothing other than a large cat.If it moves like a large cat looks like a large cat then hamster here thinks we should call it a banana so he can stay in his comfort box.Ok lets do that.Anything for a happy hamster.

    Big Cat

"Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth"..A rational person has to agree people have been and are still witnessing large feline animals moving freely through our countryside, whether thats outside your comfort box or not.Chosen chappie must be able to tell me exactly what i and many others did see as my eyes clearly misled me

Amuses me of course that there are many people that cannot accept what hundreds tell them they have seen quite clearly in front of them ,fair enough thats checks and balances in action. But many of those same doubters believe deceased members of their families are waiting for them in some afterlife watched over by some mystical all powerful deity.Go figure.
  20. Got it at last---post marked 18th.So that suggests posted on the 18th not 10 days ago.But saga over.
  21. Well he phoned me so we are moving forward.says post office claim package should be here today. nearly 2 weeks in the post ?? Fingers crossed. Its lack of communication that frustrates people in cases like this.
